Each year as warmer temperatures return and outdoor activities resume, many residents choose to purchase recreational vehicles. However, many people are unaware of the distinguishing characteristics of the vehicles they purchase, which determine where they can be driven, who can drive the vehicle, as well as the registration and insurance requirements. Show Below is an outline of the specific vehicles and requirements so you can make an informed decision before purchasing a vehicle and make sure you are operating it legally upon purchase. Low Speed Vehicles LSVs must be equipped with the following safety equipment: To title and register an LSV, bring the following documents to the Bay County Tax Collector’s Office: Golf Carts Golf carts may be operated on roadways that are designated for golf carts with a posted speed limit of 30 MPH or less. Golf carts are not titled or registered and are not required to be insured with PIP and PDL coverage. A person must be 14 years or older to operate a golf cart. Converted Golf Carts Prior to titling and registering a converted golf cart, the vehicle must be inspected and assigned a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) at a Motorist Services Regional Office (Bay County’s Regional Office can be reached at (850) 767-3660, option 1, appointment required). The converted golf cart must be street-legal before applying for a title or registration. Owners should trailer the converted golf cart to a Motorist Services Regional Office and present the following documents and fees for an inspection, VIN assignment, title and registration: All-Terrain Vehicles If you plan to purchase a recreational vehicle, make sure you know the law so you can ensure you are purchasing the vehicle that meets your needs and are prepared to take the necessary steps to operate the vehicle legally in Florida. However, it looks like Ordinance 980 outlaws this. What are the rules for having a golf cart along Front Beach Rd? We will be down there for a shooting competition in late Sep and will have our shooting card (modified EZ-Go) with us and would love to be able to use it along the strip. Report inappropriate content

Re: Golf Carts on Front Beach Rd 15 years ago Save Hi, ClayShooter I have two reasons for responding 1): According to a news web site, the ordinance 980 must not be heavily enforced. http://www.northwestfloridaonline.com/index.php/mbb_news_cq/comments_cq/golf_cart_safety_in_panama_city_beach/ The ordinance was passed over a year ago. This past summer there were still "buggy" rental places renting what amounts to glorified golf carts. We rented one last year and went all over Front Beach Road. On the news web site there is a list of roads the golf carts are NOT allowed on. Front Beach Road (S.R. 30) is among those listed. However, I'm not sure where S.R. 30 begins. I think the Front Beach Road through most of PCB is 98 Alternate. Personally, I would take the cart and ask some locals or your hotel manager what to expect. My second reason for responding is your name, and your game. I have shot registered skeet, and some trap. Did not realize there was a place in PCB to shoot. Where is it? and is it open to the public during non event days ?? I would sure love to take my old Browning down next week and blow the dust out of the barrels. Thanks Poppy Report inappropriate content

Re: Golf Carts on Front Beach Rd 15 years ago Save I don't know anything about the ordinances, but I do know that you better be on the watch out for the scooters, golf carts, buggies, whatever because they are every where on Front Beach rd. I saw a young lady almost get hit head on when she turned a corner and was looking backwards at her buddies following her. It the guy in front of me hadn't been watching closely, she would be history right now. Report inappropriate content

First time I've shot in about 20 years, kind of brought the desire back again. Forgot how much a 12 gauge can punish your shoulder though. I've got the black & blue patches from last week still. Thanks for recommending the club, I will go back without a doubt ! Even bought one of their $5 hats for $15.... lol. Oh...and after all this time, I hit the first bird....it's the rest of them that escaped me..... What beaches in Florida allow golf carts?Blue Mountain Beach.. Carillon Beach.. Dune Allen Beach.. Grayton Beach.. Gulf Trace.. Inlet Beach.. Santa Rosa Beach.. Seacrest Beach.. Are golf carts allowed in Palm Coast FL?Although golf carts are not allowed on the beaches themselves, they are certainly the easiest way to explore Flagler Beach, Palm Coast, Hammock Beach, Cinnamon Beach, and Ormond-by-the-Sea. You'll want a golf cart to go shopping, visit our amazing restaurants and bars, or to park right along the beach.
Can you use an electric golf cart at the beach? Most golf carts can be driven through the sand. They can be used on the beach as well as on the sand areas of the golf course.
What is the speed limit on Thomas drive in Panama City Beach?Current traffic impacts
