I’m also currently in the midst of re-reading Rick Riordan’s mythological series with my friend Destiny! I

Anywayyy, so because of the exciting news about the show, I’ve seen a lot of people getting back into the Riordan-Verse and asking how to read all the books. So, I figured since I have read all but the last couple of books in the Trials of Apollo series, why not help everyone out and let y’all know how you can dive into Riordan’s series without getting confused!

  • The Demigod Diaries (Aug 2012) – Three short stories. One set before The Lightning Thief and the other two set before The Mark of Athena.
  • Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods (Aug 2014) – Set after Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Percy telling the story of the Greek Gods for extra credit. not a character story it’s just Percy telling the stories but you should probably read it after Heroes of Olympus, just in case.
  • Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes (Aug 2015) – Set after Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Percy telling the story of the Greek heroes for extra credit.

  • For Magnus Chase: Hotel Valhalla Guide to the Norse Worlds: Your Introduction to Deities, Mythical Beings, & Fantastic Creatures (Aug 2016) – A quide to Norse Mythology and Hotel Valhalla. A direct lead into The Hammer of Thor.
  • Camp Half-Blood Confidential (2017) – A collection of information and interviews set after PJO but, a companion book to the Trials of Apollo series. Works more as a guide to Camp Half-Blood. Read after The Hidden Oracle.
  • Brooklyn House Magician’s Manual (May 2018) – Set after The Kane Chronicles. You get some new infromation on the main characters with a mix of entries from characters and quizzes.
  • 9 From the Nine Worlds (Oct 2018) – 9 Short stories set in the Magnus Chase world. Read afer the Magnus Chase trilogy.
  • Camp Jupiter Classified: A Probatio’s Journal (May 2020) – Claudia’s journal, set before Tower of Nero with characters from the Heroes of Olympus series.
