CharacterHector DragonslayerWorldCoeurlMain ClassMarauder Lv 80How do you do dungeons with blu mage?
I'm getting frustrated. I'm at level 25 and I can't do any dungeons at all. I know the job is limited but everyone else seems to be getting the dungeon spells. Needs some help Please.

You have to find other people who want to party with you manually. It's a ... questionable design choice.Last edited by Jandor; 01-19-2019 at 12:52 AM.

CharacterTiniel CerulisWorldRagnarokMain ClassLancer Lv 80You must learn "1000 needles" first because you will never do enough damage to enemies and boss with just the water skill.
And learn enough skills (10) to get White Wind from the NPC near Martyn. It will help you heal if needed. And if you can, set up parties because the more, the funnier
(and you have more chances to get the skill than alone)01-18-2019 11:53 PM #4

(and you have more chances to get the skill than alone) Although the first part is accurate, more blu mages = more fun!The second part isn't, the mobs have a set % chance to learn the spell, and the number of blue mages makes no difference.

I read everywhere that the % chance is for each blue mage in the team and not on the mob itself ? Is that wrong ?01-19-2019 12:06 AM #6

afraid it's a flat % for the party whether your a party of 1 or 8 it's the same roll rng truly is a fickle thing01-19-2019 12:11 AM #7

That's why I don't understand what's the truth here. If there's such thing as "as long as one blue mage learns the spell everyone else will learn it" that means that each blue mage has the % chance to learn the skill. So it's not a % chance for the party.

say learning a spell was 20% chance i does not matter how many blus are in the party that 20% chance is fixed it is just that every blu in the party learns that spell at the same time. It is a party roll for that spell not an individual

CharacterAlpha LupiWorldAdamantoiseMain ClassAstrologian Lv 90It's a roll from the mob if it has used a blue skill given to the initiating party. It's one roll. It's a % the mob gives out regardless of the party size.
Ff14 can blue mage do dungeons
Instead they need to make a party manually using Party Finder and travel to the duty's entrance. BLU also can't engage with the PvP system, Deep Dungeons or special areas like Eureka and the Bozjan Southern Front. In fact, you can't even use them to progress the Main Story Quest.
In-game the Blue Mage is considered a "Limited Job". This is not for no reason, as Blue Mages can't queue for content like other jobs can, they can't access competitive PvP modes, they can't go higher than level 70, and they can't progress the Main Story Quest.
BLU Mage can solo level 70 dungeons, yes. There are occasionally some tricky parts, but I'm confident that BLU can clear every dungeon alone. BLU can stomp level 70 dungeons into the dust with Basic Instinct.
Available Duties
Successfully completing duties listed in the blue mage log will mark them as complete, provided that you fulfill the requirements.
