Didn't like ghost of tsushima. Didn't like the open world at all. Its almost like a Ubisoft open world, with no variations to the camp and similar stealth mechanics, lots of collectibles and almost no story/plot points related to the exploration. All the sidequests were pretty generic fetch quests. The exploration is also very badly implemented as you find almost nothing if you actually explore the world (its just some foxes leading you to some cosmetics which gets boring real quick). It shouldn't have been open world imo. Because the main story line is good, even though the mongols are protrayed as pretty generic black and white characters.
Also Elden ring is one of the most easiest soulsborne games. In earlier games, there wasn't any exploration, here you can explore a lot, get stronge pretty quickly. And the exploration is well implemented. So many useful items hidden around the corner. The story and characters are actually good and understandable, even though the exploration doesn't tie into the story. Like very side quests, if you actually explore. But these cool items make up for it imo. I'd say elden ring if you like challenging yourself.

- After Elden Ring, will Ghost of Tsushima feel disappointing?

xo0Achilles0ox 5 months ago#2 No. Tsushima is good regardless. In the pipe, five by five. |
spud_almighty 5 months ago#3 Great game. Elden Ring however looks like more of the same. I'll be sure to pick it up when it is discounted. The whole Souls boss rush thing is itself quite repetitive and has grown old, in
my opinion. |

starcrunch061 5 months ago#5 I honestly liked Tsushima better than Elden Ring. I've been pretty critical of Elden Ring, though, so I'll leave it at that. |

molokoveloocet0 5 months ago#7 In the sense that every game doesn’t play like a Dark Souls RE: infinite freedom when making your build and having gear REALLY affect your stats yes. But it’s a really fun game if that’s not what you mean. It’s definitely ass creed style in that there are a million little things to find under the fog of war you dissipate when you travel. The story is a solid homage to old samurai films and the gameplay is fun. You get a good amount of options to take out each base. I would definitely recommend it at that sale price. Sweet deel |

crazybones 2 years ago#1 I know we haven’t gotten much information on both these titles set to release in 2020 but if you had to choose 1 between the two which one would you pick? i don’t like from games because they are boring and are very alike to the other games and I’m tired of hearing about dark souls . ghost of Tsushima on the other hand looks pretty good and it’s on my top 5 list of games to get next year. |

Iscratchmyballs 2 years ago#6 I'm looking forward to Ghost of Tsushima. It's my most anticipated game of 2020! I'm fully vaccinated with Moderna. |
Maninstagnate 2 years ago#7 Ghosts because there hasn't been a vast open world feudal Japan game before and Elden Ring is probably going to be another one trick pony "souls" game with Game of Thrones writer. |
kidesper 2 years ago#8 Elden ring suckerpunch games dont do it for me. |
