High School Mystery Club season 3

Busted is the closest in concept I can think of, but for me it’s Girls’ High Mystery Class done in the wrong way. There are still many who enjoy Busted though, so just give it a try.

Crime Scene is also a great show if you’re into mystery and deducting from given hints. Park Jiyoon joined all 3 seasons so you will like it.

I would suggest Crime Scene Chinese version too, although most people who have watched the Korean version don’t really like it. Personally I don’t think it’s bad, because they’ve just finished season 6. A bad show can’t go on for 6 seasons. The main problem with the Chinese version is that each episode is too long (roughly 3 hours) and there are several explicit product placements which may annoy the audience. Season 4 and 6 are great by the way.

Local streaming platform Tving's original variety show, "Girls' High School Mystery Class," will be returning with its second season, Friday, after the first season brought success to the platform following its premier in March.

Set in a girls' high school, the mystery game show features five celebrities ― comedian Jang Do-yeon, TV personalities Park Ji-yoon and Jaejae, and K-pop singers Bibi and Choi Ye-na ― playing make-believe as newly transferred students.

Given the task of uncovering suspicious events happening around the school, the cast members solve puzzles and search for clues to reveal secrets.

In the new season, the cast members continue their roles in carrying out the mysterious adventure, filled with a new set of games and puzzles.

"Season 1 showed the five cast members growing close to each other as the series goes on. But (in this season) they have become like a family, hanging out together outside the show," the program's producer, Jung Jong-yeon, said during an online press conference for its new season, Tuesday.

"They have the chemistry of newly wedded couples like three months into marriage. I am expecting 'lovey-dovey' chemistry (among the cast members)."

The cast members also noted that their chemistry will make the new season more interesting than the previous one.

"In the first season, we were clueless and were not really familiar (with each other). Whereas, in Season 2, we can anticipate how each of us will react during the show. Watching us hit it off so well is another fun part of this new season," Jaejae said, adding that she was excited when she heard the news of the show's second season. "I took part in this season with great enthusiasm, willing to go all-out for the show."

Jang hinted that the cast members will also show better skills in solving the mysteries on the show.

"In the previous season, we were going back and forth between a comedy variety show and mystery game show. But in Season 2, we're working hard to show that we grew to be better at solving clues," she said.

The producer, who has extensive experience in reality game shows such as, "The Genius," and the escape-room-style show, "Great Escape," expressed that he had put in a lot of work to create the environment for the cast members and viewers to immerse themselves in the show's plot.

"We focused on making the story as realistic as possible for the viewers to put themselves as part of the show while watching," he said, adding that he also put great effort into building the set. "Our show's set is built with much more detail than that of a TV drama. It's almost an actual school, so the cast members can get into the story more easily. When filming a drama, there is a production staff outside of the frame. But for this show, the cast members are the only people on the set and the cameras are hidden."

"Girls' High School Mystery Class 2" will release new episodes every Friday after premiering on Dec. 31 on Tving.
