The icon for the first dreadful crimes mission is a black hexagon with a yellow magnifying glass inside. It should show up just south of the viewpoint in Whitechapel. Make sure that your map is showing you the BOROUGHS menu, or WORLD VIEW, but not ASSOCIATES. The icon doesn't show up in ASSOCIATES view. Also make sure the map menu is set to DEFAULT or MEMORIES, not ACTIVITIES or MISC.

In the Main Memories, you can go to the E-STORE and select BROWSE MY BONUS CONTENT and see if Dreadful Crimes shows up in the menu. If it does, you should be getting the icon on your map. If it doesn't check on the PS4 menu to make sure that the content not only downloaded, but also installed.
If it shows up on your Bonus Content menu and you still can't see the icon on the map, try traveling to the viewpoint in Whitechapel, and look for a man in a grey coat and top hat standing next to a child in a blue jacket and a bowler hat standing just underneath the black fence with the WHITECHAPEL G.A. sign over it, right under the viewpoint. These are the people you talk to when you're ready to start the first mission.

What should happen is:

1) Press X at the gears menu, it loads then the main menu appears. Wait for the Jack the Ripper menu option to appear below Continue.

2) Activating Jack the Ripper menu option brings you back to the gears menu, and the popup says "content loading".

3) Once finished, the X appears, press X, and it says "content loading" again.

4) Once done the Jack the Ripper menu appears, and you see the New Game/Continue option, as well as an older Evie Frye model on the right.
