The best method is for you to get max IQ and get Super Mobile (Rock Smash is not worth your time in my opinion) - and if you have a Tight Belt, you can literally clear the entire floor of walls without breaking a sweat. It's tedious and time consuming but it absolutely works. The best dungeons are probably Buried Relic and Lightning Field just because they contain the most and best items in my experience.
I actually did this a few weeks ago where I decided to clear as many floors as I could in Buried Relic until my toolbox filled up - I got up to B10F before I was full - but I got a lot of rare TMs like Thunder and Skill Swap. It was pretty neat.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (DS)
Buried Items? Explain!
I was surfing through the dungeon FAQs and I've been noticing this "loads of neat buried items"
What does it mean by "Buried", and how would you reach them?
Answers
Buried item means that the items are hidden in wall. To reach them, you will need a Pokemon that can pass through wall (Ghost type or hold Mobile Scarf, either way, each step you take will minus 5 belly points **if the Pokemon is leader**) or some way to take down the wall (Rock Smash, Self-destruct/Explosion, IQ Skill Absolute Mover).

Also, Explosion/Self-Destruct will actually destroy the item in the wall. Trust me, I've tried.

Buried item means that the items are well, buried in the wall.
To get them, you will need a Ghost type or a Pokemon wearing the mobile scarf (allows passage through walls). Make sure to disable the Ghost type's "All terrain hiker" IQ skill or it will not be able to phase through the walls. Also have lots of apples because traversing each wall tile costs 5 belly points.
An alternate way is to destroy the walls. To do this use, either a One-Room Orb, the Absolute Mover IQ skill or Rock Smash. Explosion/Self-Destruct will not work as they will destroy the wall but in the process destroy the item.

The Short section that comes before Mystifying Forest in my FAQ explains how to get those items. But Basically, if you travel through walls, you might find a buried item.

Mirage312 14 years ago#1 How do you recognize if an item is hidden in a wall? What's about items that are hidden in the floor, how do you spot them? Or do you have to check each tile on the whole floor? |
Blaziken_rjcf 14 years ago#2 i think you have to check each tile Arceus is a follower of Blaziken. People who agree: 15 |
Mirage312 (Topic Creator)14 years ago#3 Erks -.- Alright, thanks. |
Blaziken_rjcf 14 years ago#4 or use a one-room orb if you have one Arceus is a follower of Blaziken. People who agree: 15 |
Mirage312 (Topic Creator)14 years ago#5 I tried the one-room orb on the first floor in Mt. Steel, just to test it. I didn't find any items though. |
Mirage312 (Topic Creator)14 years ago#6 I did somethiing better, I checked the dungeon FAQ [//www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/file/929408/40256]. And there I found detailed notes, which dungeons may have buried items. Seems like the first dungeon which actually has a 5% chance of containing buried items is Mount Blaze Peak. There aren't many dungeons which can contain buried items, and the highest % chance is 6 -.-. |
