- The user's attack speed cap is increased to 90.0 for the duration, however this value is already beyond the technical limit for attack speed.
- The effect is able to remove Sion's attack speed cap but is not able to removeJhin's,Graves' norZeri's.

- If the triggering attack's is canceled, Hail of Blades will not grant the stacks and reset its availability, causing its visual effects to play the effect ready animation that also plays when the cooldown ends naturally.
- If an attack's windup is canceled while Hail of Blades' bonuses are active, the buff duration is refreshed. This only happens once on the second attack and once on the third.
Strategy
- This rune can be useful for champions in which the first three attacks are the most powerful, either because they deal more damage or because the third strike has a special effect (e.g., Shen's ,Vayne's ,Xin Zhao's ,Diana's )
- It can also be used by champions which need to stack something in an enemy, using their basic attacks. For example, Sejuani can stack faster with Hail of Blades as doesDarius with his , andTristana with her .
- Jhin gains an enormous attack damage boost with Hail of Blades, as converts the attack speed gained into AD. His triggering attack, however, is special cased to not benefit from Hail of Blades.
Trivia
- Since basic attacks from effects that reset the basic attack timer don't remove any Hail of Blades stacks, those types of attacks can extend the duration. This is useful for champions that have abilities that scale with attack speed.
