Cons: "This was my worst EVER airline experience. It was delayed 27 hours and the snow was not the only problem. When we finally got on board a plane we sat on the runway for over two hours - then they FORGOT to load the luggage!!!"

Cons: "I purchased a first class ticket in hopes that I would have a lot more comfort during the flight. It took me quite some time to get comfortable. The seat was ok, but I found the pillows to be very small and flat. I needed multiple pillows. The head rest was not adjustable, so I also found this to be uncomfortable. Usually when I fly AA, the headrest is adjustable. My final dislike was that the beverage selection was limited. I'm quite sure there was plenty of alcohol, but what about those customers who do not drink alcoholic beverages? I asked for hot chocolate, there was none. I asked for hot tea with honey, there wasn't any. So all in all my flight was okay, but that is solely because of the flight attendant and pilot. They did their jobs and they did an excellent job."

I brought it to the flight attendants attention however she wasn't able to reset it. A 7-hour flight from NY to Zurich travelling with small children without the movies was not as pleasant as it could have been."

He alerted the driver, called the boarding gate and led me to it."

I expected more from American since our 2hr flight from Orlando to JFK had working WiFi, power outlets and in-seat video monitors."

Cons: "We flew from Rome to JFK and arrived at 12:40 pm only to find out that our 3:30 pm flight had been cancelled a long time ago. No one had notified us of our new booking on a 9:10 flight to Boston. No one at American or British Airways could provide us with an earlier departure or compensate us to take alternative transportation. Our 9:10 flight was then delayed until 10:50 pm. We arrived in Boston at 12:02 am, 11 1/2 hours after our arrival at JFK from Rome. This was not a very friendly welcome home. We never would have booked such an extended delay as we only live 4 hours from New York City."

Cons: "the connection time between flights was NOT adequate especially considering I had to go through customs! AA did page me and had a representative (I think his name was Brian) waiting for me to help me get to my connection. He gave me a bright red/orange tag. I still hit some barriers. I was stopped in security and my carry on was put aside to be searched. It sat and sat . I explained to the man I had to go. He said he was working alone, so I had to wait. I was ready to leave it and just run to catch the flight, but the security man said I wasn't allowed to do that. He finally called someone else to search my bag (nothing found) I did make it...barely!"

Cons: "Many groups were not seated together. at the airport I asked if my husband and I could be put together . One worker seemed interested in helping, but another rudely butted in and said there "were no seats together, the flight was full." Come to find out the flight was not full, there were whole rows not full. The groups near our seats rearranged ourselves so we could be by our family members, so it worked out. No thanks to the person at the terminal. Really long walk from the gate to the plane. No food on a cross country flight. Only a few cups of water/soda and a cookie. which unfortunately is typical now days. The lights were off the whole trip. The captain kept turning on the seat belt sign for the turbulence. Which there was a lot of. But then he would announce for everyone to go back to their seats. It wasn't huge bumps, just a little rough. and it woke everyone up by announcing it multiple times."

We asked one crew member on board if we could throw our trash away and she just seems annoyed. We also asked for ear buds and she never arrived with them simply stating they will offer/hand them out after they come around. She just seemed like she hates her job. Just terrible attitudes. very unpleasant flight."

Cons: "I've had flights canceled before, but clearly American Airlines/ JFK is not equipped to manage. American Airlines online hung up on me after 24 minutes of being on hold. I waited in line for 2 hours to get on another flight home and the attendant first suggested to fly me to Charlotte then Cleveland where I would arrive a day late after I'd been traveling with my elderly parents for 24 hours. Additionally, once we changed flights and had to go to Newark, it took an hour to print (yes, print) our new itineraries for United and then when the cab should have arrived immediately, we waited 45 minutes. I was displeased."

Cons: "Food isn't good. the connections can be offered in a much better and time efficient way but they were not. I had to change airports in NYC with a 7-hr layover while they could've flown me to JFK (there was available flights). Same thing with coming back, a long layover in Texas."

Pros: "Flight was supposed to leave 5:45 PM , they let us board the plane right on time, then we stayed waiting on board for half an hour, there was zero communication from staff or the captain, then suddenly they asked us to leave for no reason whatsoever, we waited and waited, they decided to move us to Gate 1 instead and had us wait for four hours, they served us little food, and told us wait for AA to provide a new plane. we were delayed for four hours, flight left 10PM. very very dissatisfied, never ride with AA or Iberia"

No WiFi and having to look up to the middle isle to watch a child's movie on repeat " Guardians of the Galaxy." My neck and back were in extreme discomfort from the 8 hr flight back to NYC. If AA had headrest monitors and WiFi this could be avoided. Its 2017 stop being cheap!"

Cons: "After arriving at the airport more than 2 hours early and at the gate 30 min prior to departure, American Airlines never called last boarding call, not our names. We sat at the gate, not knowing they had boarded, and tje plane departed unbeknownst to us. Had to stand in the rebooking line for 1.5 hours before speaking to a rep who told us we couldn't rebook our international flight. Had to request a supervisor, who thankfully after an additional hour was able ro rebook us."

Pros: "The TVs/back of the chairs were great because they could shut off completely so there was no screen glare when you want to sleep, the headphone jack worked with good sound quality, and there was a decent movie selection. Staff was courteous and the food was fine."

Cons: "This flight itself was great overall. No complaints. The only thing I didn't like was that I'd wanted to book a return direct flight on American Airlines as well, but the price skyrocketed from a few hundred to over $2200, which is just outrageous, so I booked TAP Portugal instead. My friend paid under $600 round trip and it boggles the mind that the same flights shot up to over $2k... It's not realistic to expect customers to stay loyal to an airline that prices them out."

Pros: "What I enjoyed about this flight is that I eventually made it to Chicago."

Cons: "Flight was delayed several times - blamed on Chicago ATC. The food offered was not suitable for First Class - there was chicken and vegetarian option. The FA was rather slow in serving and clearing trays. She was not interested in going around and asking for refills - when I inquired about it at dessert time, she didn't come back for 15 minutes and I had to ring the call button - she informed me they didn't have my drink of choice, so it was OK for her not to come back and tell me that. Service was terrible in First Class. American should seriously do something about that."

Pros: "I paid for extra leg room and I got it. The only thing I was in the row right behind first class they require you to put all of your carry-on above even a purse. I had never had that before but I guess that's common practice."

I was screamed and cursed at hung up on and also cancelled off my flight the morning of and then had to pay an additional $100 to get back onto the flight! When I checked online they have nothing but bad reviews. Unfortunately I will not be booking through kayak again in fear of having to deal with airfare."

Cons: "When checking in the staff was so incredibly rude, nonexistent during the whole check in process that it led to several people missing their flights or almost missing it. I had to run around asking for someone to help the long line of people including me who were all in danger of missing their flight because no one was around to help. And then when I finally do get checked in using the now kiosk only option for the plebeian class while anyone above economy gets to talk to real people (way to highlight the class divide guys) I missed my check in time by 5 minutes and was told by the kiosk to find an agent. Then I go running around looking for an agent. I find one and she says you missed your flight. I told her I still have 45 minutes to make it, and she rudely just tells me to get in another line to pay for a new ticket. LUCKILY someone in the priority line saw I was having a problem, a customer not an agent, and she told me to try to talk to someone on her side. After 3 agents told me no one finally told me yes. I made my flight but just by a hair. If the agents would have been around to help or been willing to help me from the moment I spoke to them this would not have been a problem. Thanks for almost ruining Christmas for me. When I spoke to others everyone told me they always have issues with AA. Will never fly AA again."

Pros: "I have been flying American Airlines for years and never had a big issue. The crew was better some times than others but I usually travel at night and try to get some sleep. Obviously, I like the newer planes and hope that the fleet will eventually be replaced entirely."

Cons: "Almost everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. Literally, every plane we were supposed to fly on had something wrong with it. We were delayed for hours, missed a connecting flight, had to take another flight which was delayed even longer, they had to find another plane entirely because something was wrong with THAT one. Once we finally got on the plane, we sat on the runway for an hour because there was some kind of TSA-related issue (awesome) and then the airport wouldn't let any planes take off inexplicably. We got to our destination 12 hours later than we were supposed to. But to make up for it, American gave us $10 food vouchers to use in the airport in the middle of the night..."

Cons: "I paid $150 extra for 2 exit row seats thinking we could use the extra room on the long flight. Unfortunately, the exit row space was cut off by and smaller than a normal row! Our legs were extremely cramped by the time we got to Rome. We had no overhead storage, which was already small, so we had to put our carry-ons multiple rows behind us -- which made exiting the plane a pain. There wasn't any personal entertainment systems, just one tv per section. The food was sub par. The crew was nice enough, but I'll NEVER take American Airlines internationally again."

They don’t, as a policy, check bags to final destination. It’s not an option. I’d rather walk than fly with these clowns.

Inexpensive way to get to Florida for a weekend. No frills, but as advertised.

My family in Arizona didn’t have a printer to print our return flight tickets, so I took a screenshot of our tickets on my phone. Apparently, when you go through security they enlarge the QR code, which makes it blurry, so it can’t be scanned. We had to go back to the check in desk and pay $5 for each ticket to be printed. Lesson learned, print out all flight tickets before you leave.

Cons: "No snacks unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. One stewardess snapped at me when I tried to touch a bag of chips to move it and see what was available. She could’ve been a lot friendlier! I had no way of seeing what was on the cart from my seat and had to rely on her to tell me what was available. After I bought something and she passed by, I saw something else I’d rather have but it was too late by then….and she didn’t list it as an option. In flight movies would’ve been nice, too."

Chaotic deplaning in BNA with all passengers rushing to the front of the plane trying to get off. Rock hard very narrow seats."

Even though it was not our fault that there was no one answering phone calls (and no way to leave a message)"

Cons: "It was myself, my wife, and our 18 month old son. The trip was a complete disaster. The first delay was from 12 noon to 7:30 pm because the plane was unavailable. We left the airport and returned at 6 pm for the 7:30 pm departure. The plane was "available." We checked our bags, found our way to the gate, and eventually boarded "ontime." Instead of taking off, however, we sat on board the plane at the gate for 2 hours as work was being done. The work was first called "maintenance," then "a small error code." The captain teased us by saying "folks, just a few more minutes and we should be departing." The crew nourished us with a dixie sized cups of water and Chex mix. Then finally the airline gave up and deplaned everyone. Once deplaned, it was explained to us that they couldn't clear the error code, so they couldn't use that plane. But there was another plane coming from Las Vegas to use so that we could expect a departure around 12 midnight. 12 midnight rolls around. Nothing. 12:30 am. 1 am. Finally, a plane arrives. But then the airline holds us up yet again - turns out we can't depart after all because the arriving airport shuts down at 2 am. Gee, they didn't know that before making us wait another 3 hours??? Now they're offering a refund to anybody who wants one, as well as a hotel for the night and the promise of a flight at 2:30 pm the following day. At this point, many of us are looking up alternative flights to Eugene and even Portland. A $1,000 extra for us. We're not sure whether we can trust Allegiant to have an actual plane ready to go the next day. And we're too tired at that point to even ask why the next flight would be at 2:30 pm rather than first thing in the morning. So finally we line up to get a hotel voucher and find our way to the hotel. It takes over an hour to checkin at the hotel because it's the middle of the night and 150 people just showed up to checkin. We finally get to our room at about 3:30 am. I'm amazed at how well our toddler held up sitting on an airplane for 2 hours, sitting at the airport for about 6 hours, and waiting to fall asleep all night. We eventually made it back to the airport the following afternoon and, praise the lord, made it to our destination. Allegiant - NEVER AGAIN!"

Having problems connecting with my MacBook Pro. Found later that Safari is no supported and had to use the Firefox or google apps. Could have had that in the available brochures, I did not see it. Also lots of empty seats where UA was trying to sell but would not let the 'lower' class passengers move into them even though we were pilots going into a exit row. Once the door closes they are not going to sell anymore of those seats so why not do 'upgrades' for passengers to the 'bit' more expensive class. After closing the door and departing the gate the agent said "whoops" I guess it was a small child that was to be on the parents lap. "Sorry" as the plane left with an empty seat that I had been sitting in. After a long conversations with the supervisor they finally were able to book me on the last flight out that night arriving in DM at 12:15 in am. I had to dig my original boarding pass out of the garbage as they had refused to put me in first class... an upgrade I had paid for. After being lied to repeatedly about status of plane and bumped from flight due to incompetent gate agent I was able to finally procure a $10 food voucher (a beer is $11 at the airport. There are additional bungles including lost luggage and more to this saga but I think you get the picture."

My only rebooking option on the same day was a 9:45PM flight out of Newark. Newark is significantly farther away from my apartment (2 hours vs. 30 minutes) but I took it because it was my only option. After a 2+ hour trip to Newark and going through a disastrous check-in process I found out my flight was delayed until 10:30, then 11, then 11:41. Hardly any real announcements were made until the end when the gate agent stopped hiding. No apologies were made and wasn't even offered water for the inconvenience."
