How long does cooked beef last in the fridge Reddit

My rule is 4 days.

I grew up poor, in the deep south. ALWAYS had stomach issues.

Learned as an adult, you are not supposed to buy those big-ass bags of cheap deli meat and eat off of them for two weeks. Once that bag is open, 3-4 days max. That now applies to anything and everything that is not pickled, smoked, or in some other way preserved.

When in doubt, throw it out. A $10 or less portion of food is not worth risking food poisoning.
