Captain45452 11 years ago#1 Does the game actually tell you how to get through? I learned years ago from a magazine or friends, but I don't recall the game actually saying how. |
jamesreimers 11 years ago#2 i seem to recall it saying north, west, south, west somewhere, but i could be mistaken. |
Tycho_of_Brahe 11 years ago#3 Yeah, it does tell you how to do it, but you have to search and spend some money to find out. In the bottom far left screen (where there are four tree trunks and some Peahats floating around) there's an opening to a shop where you pay the merchant 10, 30 or 50 rupees and she'll talk. If you select 10 or 50 rupees you learn nothing. If you select 30 rupees he says, "GO NORTH, WEST, SOUTH, WEST TO THE FOREST OF MAZE". As a side note, if you give her 10 rupees she'll tell you that's not enough to make her talk. Pick the 50 rupee icon and she tells you, "BOY, YOU'RE RICH!", but she keeps the money! Never drive faster than your guardian angel can fly. |
Captain45452 (Topic Creator)11 years ago#4 Wow, I remember that spot on the map and being ripped off by that woman. I guess I never chose 30. One more question... Those statues that come to life when you touch them. Sometimes they were fast and sometimes they were slow. Was that random, or was there some method to it? Yeah, I need to play this game again :( |
TyVulpine 11 years ago#5 It's random. Dream Address DA-6517-3174-1702 |
Zzonkmiles 11 years ago#6 I remember getting stuck in the Lost Woods. While you can finish the game without going through the Lost Woods in the 1st quest, it's absolutely required in the 2nd quest. The woman who gives you the hint is devious. After trying EVERYTHING, I just decided to give her 30 rupees for the heck of it and that was the key! You'll know you're in the Lost Woods when its title appears on the bottom left of the screen, and things get eerie. advertisement You may want to dismount your horse here, because if you travel too far in the wrong direction
in the Lost Woods, you will be engulfed by fog and teleported back to the entrance. You'll notice a lit Torch stand right beneath the arch at the entrance. Take note the direction the embers are drifing in, and go in that direction only. It should bring you to
another torch stand, which you should also follow using the same method. This should get you to the final two lit torches just fine, but here is further instruction: From the first torch head North, North again, then West, West again, then South, and finally look West to spot two torches in the distance before a large Ogre Tree with a chest in its mouth. From the two torches, things get more difficult - There are no more torches to guide you, and if you go the wrong way
you'll be quickly enveloped in fog and brought back to the torches. If you are quick to react you can escape the fog - but it moves extremely fast. In order to find your way, use a torch or any other flammable weapon and light it at the two torches. Conveniently, there's an unlit torch leaning against one of the stands. Stand still and look at the
embers flying off the top of the torch. They will be blowing slightly in the direction you need to go. If you accidentally put out your fire, you can always drop it on the ground and relight it with a Fire Arrow, or by dropping a piece of Flint next to it and striking that with a metal
weapon. Keep following the embers and you will eventually find your way to Korok Forest.
