Great Addition to the Harry Potter SeriesVerified purchase
This is a great sequence in the Harry Potter storyline. If you are a real fan and follower of the series, you will enjoy this prequel. This story helps everyone understand where things began. Why the fighting between the wizards? The hatred of the muggles by some of the wizards. It
helps to give reason to some of the questions that some of the movie followers might have.
I look forward to more movies that will flesh out the lives of some of the characters in the Harry Potter stories.

Okay MovieVerified purchase
The movie was not as good as the other two Fantastic Beast movies. It was very confusing at first because they replaced Johnny Depp with an actor who looks nothing like him. The first scene it took us a bit to figure out what the heck was going on. I think it would have been a way better movie had they kept Depp in it.

Solid Addition to the SeriesVerified purchase
Mine is the 19th review on this movie and already there's been people letting thier thoughts on he JD/AH legal debacle and their opinions on same-sex relationships cloud their voiced opinions of this movie. It's a frigging movie. It's a good one at that. Was JD's replacement as good as he was in the role? No. To me, that's largely because JD's portrayal of series' primary villain felt very natural. It fit the vibe of the character well. Mads comes in on the third installment of the series with a different yet similar take on the character. He performs the role well and the storyline progresses. All the other actors and actresses are the same. Would I have liked to have seen JD continue in his role? Yes. Did his absence ruin the movie? No. Was the movie a bit slow at times? Maybe... Kinda... Could there have been more mystical magic slinging fight scenes? Sure. Do I regret spending my money on it? No. Everything from the soundtrack to the storyline was great. We learn more about many of the main characters, the writers worked in a few chuckles, a sufficient amount of action, and cute baby fantastic Beasts, Eddie Redmayme still plays a highly believable, honest, and charismatic character, and overall I'm happy I spent 143 minutes of my life watching this film. It was a solid 4 out of 5 for me.

Entertaining and Ignore the critics!Verified purchase
Was not disappointed at all. Have read the Potter series at least 6 times, studying every detail. Have the screenplays for the first two Fantastic Beasts. The Grindelwald recasting doesn’t bother me.
