The actual movie is fine, which is why it got an award, but the trailer, poster and description is just so horribly wrong

Netflix wants to shock and draw attention but it backlashed hard. The 11 yo have the poses but look the faces, this is not a seducing face, i think netflix wanted to show the author's opinion on hypersexualisation of the youngs (which she hates)

Is there a movie called don't judge a book by its cover?

Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover (Short 2013) - IMDb.

Who said Don't judge a book by its cover?

Quote by George Eliot: “Don't judge a book by its cover”

What does it mean never judge a book by its cover?

The saying "never judge a book by its cover" or "don't judge a book by its cover" means that you shouldn't judge someone or something based only on what you see on the outside or only on what you perceive without knowing the full situation.

Where did don't judge a book by its cover come from?

The phrase is attributed to a 1944 edition of the African journal American Speech: “You can't judge a book by its binding.” It was popularized even more when it appeared in the 1946 murder mystery Murder in the Glass Room by Lester Fuller and Edwin Rolfe: “You can never tell a book by its cover.”
