  The ancient and evil Spider Queen emerges from her lair. With the help of a "shadowy" figure, the Spider Queen is SUPERCHARGED, using her power to capture Monkey King and Demon Bull King. It's up to MK and his team to track down ingredients for an antidote to cure the citizens and free the city.[7]

  Sets

  Most of the sets are based on Spider Queen's conquest and the events that took place after "Revenge of the Spider Queen". The Cloud Bike and White Dragon Horse Jet sets are also featured along side sets based on the Revenge of the Spider Queen storyline, despite neither making an appearance in the special.

  This was also the first set wave to introduce Tang, Macaque, and Lady Bone Demon in minifigure forms, who were absent from the first two Monkie Kid set waves despite them appeared before Season 2.

  • This is the first season to be aired in English before reaching China, aside from the special, which was released in Mandarin more than a month before the special would air in English.
