Pros: "Nothing"

Cons: "Yes"

Pros: "Seat"

Cons: "Space"

Pros: "FLIGHT WAS QUICKER"

Cons: "FLIGHT GATE CHANGED FROM TICKET, COUNTER BOARDING WAS "UN-ACCOMODATING"."

Cons: "A drink other than water would be nice (like soda)"

Pros: "Richard along with the other flight attendants were super nice and helpful with anything needed."

Cons: "Seats not comfortable, didn’t have any food"

Pros: "Everything was great except the long delays. We were suppose to leave at 206 but the flight kept getting delayed. I understand delays but it would have been nice if someone would have told us why. There was no one at the desk for a long time. But once we were on the plane and in the air everything was great."

Pros: "Nothing the seats suck"

Cons: "Nothing"

Pros: "I paid 270$ extra for the carry on bags for the three tickets. If I knew that I would have chosen United tickets because they would be cheaper."

Cons: "Kayak you guys fooled me and I’ll not trust you again."

Pros: "I am a mom of two young children flying solo. The counter staff was friendly and extremely helpful. With limited ability to handle multiple items and my small kids, the woman at the counter was beyond polite and helped with my bags immediately. I am so grateful for the friendly staff and the extra attention they gave to my kids and I."

Pros: "Crew was kind and helpful."

Cons: "Please forward this to everyone you know! Do NOT EVER fly on Frontier Airlines!!!!!! They are a total joke and charge fees for EVERYTHING!!!!! Want to carry on a bag or push everything you need into a small backpack? Oh, need to take clothes? Well that's $40...per carry on, $60+ at the airport. Oh, you wanted to sit down? That will cost you...$10 per seat minimum, again more at the airport. Btw, those fees only cover one leg of the trip. You can save by leaving your luggage there. See how helpful we are? You think you are getting a good fare but the fees have made my trip almost three times the initial fare. United is testing similar "economy" fares. None of this information is presented upfront so it's a bait and switch scenario. Also, trying to reach a human being is nearly impossible. I feel sorry for the customer service reps, they should get hazard pay. They have to try to justify these ridiculous policies. Save yourself money and frustration and NEVER FLY FRONTIER AIRLINES!!!!!!!"

Pros: "I flew for 3 hours and landed safely"

Cons: "Everything else, paying $40 each way for carry on, paying additional amount for selecting a seat, no one even offered a cup of water for three hours, can of soda 2.99. Complete rip off. Worst travel thus far for me."

Cons: "I was sitting near the front, (row 5) and wanted a cup of coffee. The stewardess served the seats in front of me total of 3 cups of coffee. When she got to me, she said there was not any more coffee available!!! So... why do you make less than one pot of coffee on each of your flights? This was really weird!"

Cons: "I showed up 43 minutes before the fight and there was no ticket agent. After waiting 5 minutes, I went to the kiosk to check in. I was informed by the machine I had to go see an agent. After searching the terminal and going to baggage claim to find someone, I was informed I had to be there 45 minutes before the flight because the ticketing agents are also responsible for boarding passengers. I checked the reservation and couldn't find any information on check in other than the cabin doors close 10 minutes prior to boarding. When I called the help Center I was informed they would not apply the payment from the missed flight and I would have to pay for the ticket again. Every other carriers I deal with has a 30 minute check in policy. If they aren't going to use the standard time frame they should make the policy clearer."

Cons: "you charged me twice what a bag cost in processing fees and didn't inform me they would be add3d to my card along with the 40 for the carton while I was purchasing the caryon, leaving me with no bus money to get home from Chicago. I really like you guys, but seriously, Not cool"

Cons: "Those seats with no recline and minimal cushioning - tough on the over 40 crowd."

Pros: "The flight was an hour late leaving; had to pay ridiculous baggage fees; had to bring my own food or pay yet again; seat was supremely uncomfortable and I waited over an hour for my bags. Done with Frontier airlines forever."

Pros: "40 dollars for checked luggage + 45 dollars for a carry on bag is more than shocking. I will choose Frontier again because of all the rediculous and surprise fees."

Cons: "Rediculous baggage fees"

Pros: "Not much to like other than the cost of the ticket, they kept us unmoving on the runway for almost an hour, before taking off, boarding was at 2:50 pm, flight was supposed to be 3:25 pm, we didn't actually take off till 4:15, scheduled arrival was at 9 pm, and we arrived 9:20, and weren't able to deplane till 9:35, and ended up standing around baggage claim for over thirty mins waiting for our luggage, frontier might have some good ticket prices, but next time I'm willing to pay more, if it means better service"

Pros: "Nothing"

Cons: "I never recieved a notification that my flight was canceled through my email I arrived at the airport to find out my flight was canceled which has created a mess for me on my christmas break. There should be better integration with Frontier and Kayak on the fact I never got an email."

Pros: "When I was done working with this airline."

Cons: "Ten passengers were not let on the original flight because the attendant at the desk wouldn't let anyone have their boarding pass with 45 minutes left to board. The airport was completely empty and we could have easily made the flight. After being made to reschedule, the flight attendants were very unfriendly. I knew to expect uncomfortable seating, no onflight entertainment, etc. I can justify paying less for less comfort, but to miss a flight needlessly and deal with angry employees is enough to never fly Frontier if at all possible."

Pros: "Yes, on Frontier you have to pay for any extras - more cushy seats, baggage beyond carryons you can fit under the seat, beverages, food, etc. However, the price of the flight is worth it, even if you add on baggage charges. And a direct flight is priceless."

Cons: "We were a little late boarding, but still made it to Houston on time, so not a big deal, and often unavoidable."

Pros: "The flight got me there."

Cons: "It was an incredibly bumpy ride. The seats were not sufficiently padded. The tray tables were about a quarter the size of other airlines, not big enough to put my tablet on. All food and drink was an extra charge. When I asked why, I was told that cheaper flights have fewer amenities. But the flight was not cheaper than my return flight on a different airline which did provide a beverage and cookie."

Pros: "Low price compared to alike flights. Crew and pilots were nice, friendly, and always helpful. Boarding was very fast and easy. I was on time if not early for all 4 of my scheduled landing times. Clean plane. Overall a great experience."

Cons: "My gate number to board changed 3 times within 1 hour, which may not be Fronteirs fault. Uncomfortable seats that don't lean back. No entertainment. Food and snacks cost money, no complimentary food/drink except water. Cost money for carry-on bag. No puke bags in the seats. They nickel and dime you for everything, but it's worth it if you travel light and don't care about the little things. I was surprisingly pleasantly surprised."

Cons: "Our flight was oversold. They bumped 27 people do to a "downgrade" of the flight to a smaller plane. This meant they avoid full compensation do to FAA rules. Got bumped 24 hours because Frontier does not partner with other airlines. Despite never having been given a seat assignment they didn't standby tag my checked luggage and sent it ahead so I had to stay an extra night without a change of clothes, etc. Next day the flight was oversold again and they bumped another 25 people. Every flight this trip left and arrived late. The pilot explained that the baggage handlers were in a contract dispute with management as they were overworked and underpaid. As a result they were also short staffed. Saw many miss connecting flights as a result. I will never fly Frontier again."

Cons: "My flight was delayed from Denver to SLC and we were not notified, given any other option or any compensation. The previous three (3) times I've flown frontier I have had flights cancelled and received no compensation. Do you know how frustrating that is?"

Cons: "Flight was cancelled. No one was notified until after we arrived at the airport. The ticket agent informed all the passengers. Wasn't until later that we received emails. Frontier provided us with phone number to assist in re-booking. Call center was not open or manned and were told to call back later."

Pros: "The flights were fast, and easy to to board and disembark."

Cons: "Charges were added 24 hours before the flight to decide what seat to have. I chose this flight because it was supposed to be cheaper to go to Charlotte, but the added charges made it the same price almost. Would not fly frontier again as they charge for everything"

Pros: "I did like the price a lot, the flight was cheaper than any other when flying across the country."

Cons: "My flight was an hour late departing, causing panic at the layover spot for several guests because their flights were waiting just for them. The first flight I wasn't asked for food or drink or anything. The seats weren't as cushioned as any of the other airlines I've flown and paying $25-$30 for a bag is quite a bit."

Cons: "While I am thankful that we made it back to the airport after some mechanical issues. I called Frontier and ask them to get me on a different flight that night or first thing the next morning. They would not help me. They kept telling me I had to talk to the agents in the terminal. There were 200 other people standing in line waiting to be helped. They offered no alternative. Wouldn't even book me with another airline to get me to my destination. The best Frontier customer service on the phone would do was changed my flight to Saturday night. Which did not good since I was coming back from my trip on Sunday."

Pros: "Nothing"

Cons: "Flight delayed and they couldn't rebook"

Pros: "Nothing"

Cons: "Seats didn't lay back and had to pay for carry on luggage"

Pros: "I like how easy it was to book."

Cons: "I didn't like how I was lured by low prices only to find out I have to pay for a carry on. $60!! How dare you have this hidden charges, I fly all the time and have NEVER paid for a carry on. I will never fly frontier again."

Cons: "Flight was delayed both directions. I don't like the extra charge for a seat and the extra charge for beverages."

Pros: "The fact that I was able to check in online."

Cons: "The fact that after I check in online, I still had to go to the ticket counter to receive my boarding pass. Showed up to the airport, made my way to the counter, low and behold not a soul was there. Tried to get a digital pass off the online check in, nothing. Needless to say, I missed my flight. No worries though, I was able to purchase a one way ticket through Southwest which was actually cheaper, because I didn't have to pay extra to check a bag. I would like to thank frontier airlines for helping me realize that a cheaper airline ticket isn't always the best way to go, considering all the additional fees added up cost more than other airlines where they have 1-2 free checked bags and better customer service."

Pros: "The airfare was reasonable, and boarding was fairly quick."

Cons: "Paying $40 dollars for a checked bag is ridiculous and $45 for a carry-on is high way robbery. They need to revamp their baggage policies. The baggage prices will prevent me from flying with this airline in the future."

Pros: "Only the price."

Cons: "This flight was three hours late as there was no other plane to send to us in SLC and the one coming from Atlanta was held up in weather."

Pros: "Nothing"

Cons: "They charge for everything. Only water is free in the flight. They charged me 60$ for carry-on items and I did not know anything about this until boarding"

Pros: "Cheap, efficient budget airline, good for weekend getaways with a personal item and no carry ons."

Cons: "water is $, boarding is constantly lagging because people argue with boarding agents about cost of carry ons"

Cons: "They charge more to carry-on than to check. By the time they made that clear, it was too late to check and they just threatened to raise it from $40 to $60 if I didn't act quickly. Everyone involved—from the gate attendant to customer service—has an impatient, condescending response about how these policy was made clear at the time of purchase. They are obviously very well practiced at explaining their ostensibly clear policies to throngs of ignorant masses who somehow didn't understand them when they purchased their ticket. In fact, their speech is so well rehearsed that you'd almost—almost!—start to question if they have actually made their baggage policies as clear as they think."

Pros: "clean plane"

Cons: "I haven't flown Frontier in a while. I didn't realize I have to buy my seat too? What the heck is that? Sure it's only another $13 min. But here's the catch, you get a seat They've replaced the pull down table with a small flip down "table" that is about 1/3 the size of a standard table. While this does offer more legroom, it makes eating difficult and uncomfortable. I could not rest a standard square salad container on it during the flight. Luckily, I had a plastic bag from the vendor that I could put over my slacks to act as a big placemat. I didn't want to spill dressing on my pants. No WIFI onboard In short, I will be avoiding Frontier in the future. I do fly budget airlines like SW, but at least the attitude there is better. And what you get is clear."

Cons: "We were told the flight was canceled due to weather. We were also told the next flight out from Cleveland wasn't until the following Wednesday. We gave other airport options for departure and arrival and still we were told we wouldn't be able to fly in until Wednesday. I understand that flying into Denver wasn't an option due to no fault of the airline, however I am sure with the multiple airports we could have flown out of and flown into we should have been able to make the trip before the following Wednesday, 4 days later. Also we had no idea how much extra the baggage cost was, or that there even was one."

Pros: "Someone on the flight had the Flu and my wife some friends end up with it."

Cons: "The a/c was not cool enough."

Cons: "The $40 baggage fee is unreal. The crew was very unprofessional. The flight left earlier then scheduled and even though I was there on time I missed it. No one was at the desk. And the phone number for frontier was no longer in use."

Pros: "The crew"

Cons: "I didn't know I didn't have assigned seating, had to pay additional fees for seats, not just once but for both planes on the same destination. I used to fly every couple of months to Denver and frontier airlines have changed their seats. They're very cheaply made and uncomfortable. Cheap and uncomfortable."

Cons: "Paying $2.00 for a soda or a snack and not being told ahead of time, some people on the flight did not have money to purchase anything . Very poor service in that regard."

Cons: "Arrived at baggage check 40 minutes before flight and no one was working the check in area. There was just a sign that said kiosk closes 45 minutes prior to boarding. Not take off but boarding. I had checked in online early so I had my boarding pass. Just needed to check my bag but there was no one there to do it. Then while looking for a new flight I hear my name called on the loud speaker to come to the gate for the flight which was just salt on the wound. I have never had any issue making it onto a fight on any other airline when I was 40 minutes early to boarding. Frontier just had no interest in assisting. Will not be flying with them again"

Pros: "Flight was delayed about 3 hours. First was a delay of 1 and half hours for maintenance, then they brought a different plane. Then we were delayed an hour on the tarmack for an hour due to weather. Not their fault But all we were offered was water. Brew was very nice. Just really felt that due to "double whammy". Should have at least got a coke. They also charge $40 for carry on bag. Really."

Pros: "The crew was friendly."

Cons: "Brand new Airbus had computer problems that required us to return to the gate after 45 minutes on the tarmac. Cold restart was required. That required another 45 minutes. Then we had to wait for 1/2 an hour for a maintenance crew to arrive so they could sign off on the problem??? Seriously? Why wasn't the maintenance crew already waiting for the plane once the decision was made to return to the gate? One would have thought after such an inconvenience that Frontier could afford to let go of some of its $5 sodas or pretzels for free to the passengers, are you kidding...NOT! We were offered about 4 ounces of warm water. Yup, they would not even let go of their ice. I guess the lesson is that you live and learn, I will never fly Frontier again."

Pros: "I think this airline should be a little more open about what's going on. Upon booking, no mention of baggage fees. There was a delay that we knew nothing about as we sat there. The crew wasn't very welcoming. Probably wouldn't book Frontier again."

Pros: "Short flight"

Cons: "Flying from Denver to Houston I didn't need to pay for a carry on bag because I was told my bag would fit under my seat (and it did). On my return flight was told by the (unfriendly) staff member that I needed to place my bag in this VERY small contraption and if it fit I would not need to pay for my bag. Unfortunately, my bag did not fit however; I was able to place my bag under the seat in front of me for the entire flight. Previously in November I had to pay an additional $75 for my checked bag being 4 lbs overweight. That is highway robbery, I could have checked in another bag for less than that. I will no longer fly Frontier because I am extremely dissatisfied with their service."

Pros: "Amazing customer service, Fast boarding, Extremely clean airplane."

Pros: "Crew was good"

Cons: "Bigger seats"

Pros: "On time, easy boarding, smooth flight"

Cons: "Baggage check agent spent 30 minutes explaining why car seats can’t be checked to family in front of me, while he had a line of about 10 people behind me. Added unnecessary, frustrating feelings to an already stressful experience traveling. Very poor situational awareness and no sense of urgency."

Pros: "Everything was great!"

Cons: "I didn’t like that we had to pay for our snacks. I also had to pay for my carry on even though it was small."

Pros: "Nothing"

Cons: "Seats are uncomfortable and crew expended one hour trying to get the count right"

Cons: "I'm not sure how it's legal that spirit doesn't include the exit tax for a country when every single other airline does include it in their KAYAK posted price. There is literally a tax window in San Pedro Sulu, Honduras that says for "spirit airlines passengers" charging $47 per person that my family of 5 had to pay to get out of honduras. Continental would have been cheaper. The exit tax for a country is a required tax. Why is the tax included in the KAYAK posted continental price but not spirit? Only spirit airlines passengers had to pay it. That's messed up. Kayak should be more aware that prices they list aren't truly accurate as all the required taxes were not included. I'm not talking about baggage fees or meal fees or seat selection fees which aren't required if you don't want to pay it, I'm talking about a required tax to get back on the plane."

Pros: "Good flight on time great crew."

Pros: "Person next to me had horrible body odor, so I asked for a change of seat. The crew let me know when something else was available and moved me."

Cons: "Tight space"

Pros: "Smooth , friendly and good customer service"

Cons: "The price, wants a cheaper flight"

Cons: "Comedy was over the top too much. All the additional pay as you go charges and required checked luggage which force me to the baggage claim for an extra 20 minutes and I had to pay for that privilege."

Pros: "Man at check-in counter was very nice for baggage check More than anything I am very happy with pilots' performance. Landed airplane in a driving thunderstorm which did not seem routine."

Cons: "Weight limit for baggage (normal fee) is low: 40 lb instead of 50 lb."

Pros: "Na"

Cons: "Customer service"

Cons: "I got over 100 emails stating that the flight is delayed every other minute"

Pros: "This was the worst customer service I have ever had with any airline. Arrived 56 minutes before departure time but due to too many customers and attempts to let one of the reps know, that I was almost running late, by the time I retrieved my coupon, it was 4 min past their stupid 45 min check in time. And I was told there is nothing they could do but rebook for the next day. Never again will I travel on spirit. I would rather pay more than take the so call poor spirit"

Cons: "Everything"

Pros: "When we went to the ticket counter to drop off our check bag, we learned there was a mistake with our tickets and we had only paid for the check bag on one leg of the round trip flight. Jack saved the day and got us fixed up without charging any penalty fees."

Pros: "The lottery 5000 points they give to a random middle seat customer. On time departure was great. Early landing was unexpected but even better!"

Cons: "I was placed in a seat that did not recline which was very uncomfortable for sleeping. Very crowded seating."

Pros: "Nothing"

Cons: "Paying over over a hundred dollars to take 1 bag on the plane and 1 checked bag between two people! . No water offered without paying for it!! Ridiculous! !!"

Pros: "I could tell the plane was relatively new because of the details. The crew members were always available and helpful."

Cons: "No room for the legs, no recliners, small restroom. When boarding, 3 people had the same seat, one of the crew members solved the problem because luckily the flight was not a 100% full. 0 entertainment for the 6 hours flight (it was the same plane from FLL to Houston and San Diego) so I had to try and sleep (which was impossible). When I felt thirsty and wanted a cup of water, they told me it was a $3 dollar charge per bottle, I've never been denied water in my whole life, I found it nonsence. Overall, I would never fly Spirit again."

Cons: "I always get burned by this airline. $50 checked bag fee? Ridiculous. 2 hr delay with no explanation? Ridiculous. And to add to the mix the random seat generator gave me the last row, window. Ridiculous. Never again. Ringo"

Pros: "Paying for a $53 conversation with Spirit personnel as my flight was being boarded...without me"

Cons: "Apparently being 40 minutes early for a quality flight on Spirit Airlines just isn't enough time. They would not print my ticket since I wasn't FORTY FIVE minutes early for my flight!!!!!!! My plane was there, I was there, but they wouldn't let me board. I had no luggage to check. I was alone and had one small carry on. These business practices will soon have Spirit in airline heaven."

Pros: "Staff"

Cons: "I didn't like having to be last to get off plane when I had to wait over hour for some one to pick me up. Staff desk call twice."

Pros: "i like the assigned seating, i makes not rush to get on the plane first because ur seat is ur seat."

Cons: "seemingly all the rows of seating are too short. i'm only 5-11 tall and my knees were constantly against the seat in front of me. i sat in the middle seat on row 22. the lade next to me sat on the isle and even her knees were hitting and was uncomfortable. at one point the person in front of her leaned his seat back and it was all completely in her space, make her extremely uncomfortable. we had to ask flight attendant to ask the man to put his seat up some to give her some more room and comfort."

Pros: "Nothing"

Cons: "Everything"

Pros: "It was my first time with this company and I truly enjoyed the experience . Everyone was so accommodating, keep up the great work"

Pros: "Basic. It was what one would expect from a Greyhound bus. There was no interaction between attendants and guests, no water or simple snack, no offer of blankets... Most unsettling : the website was malfunctioning, the check in machines at the airport were malfunctioning and the attendants DOUBLE CHARGED ME for the bags. Accessing someone by phone is virtually impossible and the upcharge for a carry on bag is obserd! The Spirit experience is the Greyhound Bus of the airways."

Pros: "Waited 3 hours to get Hotel they give me a hotel that does not accept dogs after I specifically asked them if that hotel to go so take another 2 hours to go to the hotel to find out I don't have a room"

Pros: "Last minute trip and it was better than what I thought it would be for the price"

Pros: "Clean and friendly staff"

Cons: "NTR"

Pros: "Nothing good about the airline."

Cons: "They do not care about the customers."

Pros: "Gets you from point A to point B at a reasonable price!"

Cons: "It was ridiculous how I had to pay 55.00 for my carry on to my destination and BACK. Did NOT expect that. So 110.00 total. Felt like I had to buy my carry one it's own personal ticket to fly with me as if it was another person that u had to put in a little storage over my head."

Pros: "Flight was on time and perfect landing!"

Cons: "Too many charges overall for the bags #ridiculous"

Pros: "The crew was funny and entertaining"

Cons: "Your planes are consistently dirty and old."

Pros: "The Airbus equipment was rather new and tightly constructed. The airline's decor and advertising was cheery and amusing."

Cons: "I didn't like not being told that boarding would begin forty-five minutes before departure, having to go to a very distant gate after checking in with ticketing to check my bag, and then being told that boarding was underway. I didn't like arriving at the distant gate on foot after security and a subway ride only to find the plane sitting outside and before departure time, yet the door was closed and several other passengers and I being told that we had missed the 7:50 a.m. flight despite having risen at 5:00 a.m. and proceeding with all haste. I didn't like that my non-stop from Atlanta to Houston with arrival time that would have allowed half a day's work changed to a six-hour layover in Ft. Lauderdale and the loss of an entire day and evening. I did not like extra charges for everything. I can see that the higher prices charged by other airlines are not really higher after you add up everything."

Cons: "$55 for a carry on? Delayed hours on the way there and sat on the Tarmac on the way back."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 2 hours and they did not communicate this information very well. I was told to go to gate L7 and waited and waited without any information. Then they told us to go to gate L1 and then to go to gate L11 - it was very disorganized . The employees were not helpful and they seemed annoyed at all the questions. It was very crowded in the terminal and they kept telling us to move back to let other passengers off the plane but there was no where to go. All in all it was not a good experience to fly with Spirit."

Pros: "The male flight attendant did a great job. Pilot and co-pilot were courteous and friendly when we boarded and disembarked."

Cons: "The flight attendants, the women, had nothing to do. They were just standing in the back talking, loudly for the entire flight. Everyone was annoyed. Seats in the back are tight. People just want to rest and their loud voices made that impossible."

Pros: "The lady working at the gate 17 checkin for the flight from TPA to IAH was excellent!"

Cons: "I arrived to checkin in my bag early so I could relax in the airport only to be created with a sign stating that no one would be available to assist me until 4 PM which was two hours later? I then proceeded to pay by the kiosk to check my bag to be safe but then was unable to leave it. I then had to still carry the bag around only to return and be at the back of an extremely long line of people waiting. I finally get through then proceeded to my gate 17 to checkin. Once one the plane I noticed several people with bags the size of mine as carry on which meant I just wasted $52. I was extremely disgusted because I could have possibly had this issue resolved and saved my hard earned money if someone was at the baggage checkin desk."

Pros: "Nothing"

Cons: "Poor information and poor excuses"

Pros: "The actual flight was good. For the most part, the flight attendants were good."

Cons: "I waited about 30 minutes to drop off my (prepaid) bag, although there were only 12 people in front of me on my initial flight. It took over 1 1/2 hours to drop off my prepaid bag and get a printed boarding pass on my return flight. Customer service is really awful."

Pros: "We had to pay an additional $150 for carry on luggage. (I was never told this when I bought the tickets) No snacks or drinks were given on a trip literally across the United States. Terrible service and super cramped seating. Never flying spirit air again. Ever."

Cons: "Check in at Atlanta airport was a mess - there were several lines and it was not clear which line i should take to check in for my flight. Despite i arrived 2 hours before take off, I almost missed the flight."

Cons: "I was charged $10 twice for my bag and $10 for my seat, going and coming, since it wasn't a non stop. What a rip off. I had to get off the plane and get back on the plane and sit in the same seat and be charged another $10. NOT A GOOD way to treat customers if you want them to return."

Pros: "Cheaper flights is a nice option just buy your bags before you arrive at airport"

Cons: "The website could be a little more user friendly. Took a while to make an account just to print my ticket"

Cons: "The response to the cancellations in Houston was pathetic. They cost me 2 extra days, which is totally unacceptable. The agents (seem to be based in China) on the phone have no clue about alternative routing or using other airlines to accommodate. My original 4 hour flight transformed to an 9 hour ordeal after being stuck in Houston for 2 extra days. At IAH the gates have no information about the flights, passengers were being moved from one gate to the other. Seats are terrible, may work for 2 hr flights but not more. Very short staffed. Threatening passengers with increased costs at every turn is absolute nonsense. FAA/FTC needs to look at the truth in advertising. When I try to select a seat there is no seat available unless I pay more money, so what do I get for the advertised fare?"

Pros: "Horrible customer service!"

Cons: "Everything."

Cons: "I was at the airport early but couldn't drop bag because there was no staff. By the time the ticket counter was staffed they had a huge line just to drop bags. Took 45 min just to check 1 bag and was charged $75 because it weighed 48 lbs. staff unfriendly. We sat on plane for almost an hour past the time we were to take off waiting for plane manifest to be delivered and then they had to fuel the plane. Cramped flight and we landed well past our arrival time due time and then had more than an hour wait for luggage due to only one baggage carousel being used for three spirit airlines. Such a bad experience, I'm not even using my return ticket. I booked a separate one way ticket to return on Southwest Airlines. I'm not flying Spirit again. 2nd try using them , both experiences bad."

Pros: "Nothing. Flights are cheap if you can fit all you need into a small personal bag."

Cons: "Airport employees are rude. Stuartists were mostly rude. They charge for every little thing including water, bags, seats and checking in at the airport. Seats don't recline and your face is basically kissing the seat behind you. They cancel flights and combine with the next flight if the first flight is not full enough and then lie about why the flight is delayed. The system for charging for bags is pretty ridiculous. Size and weight limits are less than all other airlines. Make ridiculous comments over the speakers, such as, "I know there are a lot of open seats, but we need everyone in their assigned seats. This has to do with the balance of the plane." I have never heard anything so ridiculous. They would likely ruin a lot of trips with all the delays, which is not worth the little money you save on a ticket."

Pros: "The check in process, customer service of the flight attendants"

Cons: "High check in luggage fees, seats on the plane were too close together so there was no much space to move around."

Cons: "Seats don't recline and are close to each other. I didn't have much leg room, and I have short legs. The food was the standard fare -- soda pop, chips, etc. but you have to pay for it and they only take credit cards. That brings up my biggest dislike for Spirit: charging for everything. The ticket was lower priced than any of the other airlines I could find. The reason why is that they charge for everything. Carry on bags are $45 if you check in online, and $55 at the airport (that's each way.) Checked bags cost money. Want to pick your seat? That will cost you. Want a drink and snack on your 3 hour flight? Give us money. In the end, it actually would have been cheaper to fly on another airline that offers free carry on baggage and complimentary snacks. Then there's the check in procedure. I tried to check in online. Got my seats picked out, 1 carry on, things were good. I even opted to rent a car through them because they offered a rental at a really cheap rate (but the taxes and fees were twice the cost of renting the car, which they don't tell you up front.) Got to the point where you print your boarding pass and got a message saying "something went wrong (gee it's so hard being popular.)" Too many people using their website at once. The message said to print out the message and take it to the counter to avoid being charged a fee at the airport. OK. Went to the airport to finish checking in, showed the print out to the person working there, and was told to use a self-check in kiosk. I went to the kiosk, and found I had to start over. Picked out my seats (different ones than the one I had picked before,) claimed one carry on at a higher price, and called the Spirit employee over. She said that because it didn't work online, I had to pay the higher fee. Total BS! I won't fly Spirit again, that's for sure."

Pros: "Staff were very pleasant."

Cons: "My issue is with the purchase of my flight and the failure of your website to make the need or lack of need to purchase additional items. I purchased through orbitz and was not allowed at that time to advise of my need for wheelchair assistance or pick a seat. I got on your website and ended up purchasing an aisle seat to accomodate my disabilty and paid to bring on a carry on bag. The bill indicated i was charged twice so i had to call when i was informed i did not have to pay for a seat and i did have to pay for tge caary on. I could not figure out your system and most likely will not fly on your plane again because of that fact. I paid an extra 45 to accomodate a disability which is unsettling but more a problem when you cannot figure out the additioal charges until it is too late to cancel them. Then, on a plane that was not full, they gave my seat to another passenger which t ook quige sometime to fix"
