Should I put screen protector Galaxy Watch?

Should I put screen protector Galaxy Watch?

This will be my first smartwatch (thank you Samsung bonus credit!) and was wondering if you guys think a screen protector and/or case is a must have accessory? Case seems a bit overkill, but I can see the benefit of the screen. Do they impede at all with the touch screen?

Should I put screen protector Galaxy Watch?

It's stainless steel and gorilla glass. You don't really need either. I had a Gear sport stainless steel watch that never showed a mark after years of hard use.

I would say if its just general use then a screen protector is good and maybe a bezel protector. I used a case, screen and bezel protector on my watch 3 and it does add fair amount of bulk, but my job made it Easy to catch. I've got a screen protector on my watch 4 classic and will probably get a cool bezel protector, the bezel seems to scratch easier than the rest.

unfortunately some people can do years without any scratches...others get scratches within days

Cases are butt ugly on a watch.. imo.. protection from drops? Eh.. it's a watch, your not driving it like a phone. Ever see a real watch, they wear. Plus, you won't have this watch in 3 years problems after upgrading. Enjoy the watch as-is my opinion.

I used an IQ Shield screen protector on my Active 2, and nothing on the body. Never had a scratch or ding. I've ordered IQ Shields for the Classic, but I don't plan on putting it in a case.

Before smartwatches came out, I had many, many stainless steel watches, and I never scratched one. I doubt I'll start dinging this one, although it is bigger than I'm used to.

I've always used a Case and TGSP on every smartwatch since the Gear S3.

Alot of good suggestions and info, thanks. I'll probably get a screen protector, though I'll admit, the most daring thing I do is go out to eat and/or see a movie lol.

I know it's been some months...but which brand did you with? And do you recommend? :)

The idea of walking around with a "watch protectorate any watch is pretty repulsive to me, but you do you.

level 1

All I know is that I put on a screen protector on day one (Galaxy Watch Active 2) and have no marks or cracks. Also no issues ever operating it.

level 2

All I know is I've never put any screen protectors or case on the multitude of galaxy watches I've owned (S2, S3 frontier, watch active 1, watch3, watch4) and I've never had any marks or cracked displays.

level 2

Yeah I'm definitely considering the screen protector, was just curious how the watch felt with it on. Would hate to have it be harder to use.

I ordered a screen protector and a spegan case for my galaxy watch 4 classic 46mm. Haven't gotten either yet but I do have the watch. I'm super careful with it until I get the case and screen protector. I previously had the gear s3 frontier and I had the spegan case for that but no screen protector.

doesn't the spigen case basically make the rotating bezel useless?

Get the case. This sub is full of posts from people who just got their watch and then dinged it or scratched it. I guess if you don't care about scratches sure, but most it's a huge bummer. My active2 has had a full tpu case on at all times and I regularly take it off to clean the case and watch, not a scratch or mark on it. I ordered the watch 4 but it appears case companies are only making them for the Classic version right now because there is barely anything available for non classic

level 2

Most of the post with scratches are from the non classic model tho

Got some cheapy screen protectors and some tempered glass ones coming in later. I'll use them for now, at least. Used a case with my Active 2, but this watch looks too good to be encased. I'll be as careful as careful can get, though, for a few months.

I completely understand the benefit of using one of the case protectors, but what's the real benefit of using any type of screen protector on a screen made out of Corning Gorilla Glass?

level 2

Direct impacts on the TGSP and not the Corning. It will save your screen. Trust me.

I'm a pretty careful dude and I dinged and scratched the GW2 active.

Does a Samsung Galaxy need a screen protector?

Screen protectors aren't a must-buy item anymore. You can safely use a modern smartphone with a “naked” screen, and—even if you put it in the same pocket with your keys and coins—it should be fine.

Is Galaxy watch scratch resistant?

With the Samsung BioActive Sensor, it even measures body composition. Delivering enhanced display readability and superior scratch resistance, approaching that of Sapphire, its rugged display features Corning® Gorilla® Glass with DX+.

Does the Galaxy Watch 4 scratch easily?

Even though the paint job scratches are not that noticeable, it is really disappointing to see such a premium product getting damaged so easily. Some Galaxy Watch 4 owners are already thinking of sending the watch back to Samsung, but say that apart from the minor scratches, the overall experience is too good.

How do I protect my smart watch screen?

If you travel a lot, you can pick anti-reflection and anti-glare screen guards to view your watch under sunlight without any problems. You can also find ultra-thin screen protectors that offer high transparency online. Some brands offer wet and dry wipes to clean the smartwatch before applying the screen protector.
