What does 3 gun trigger mean?

I love this trigger! It's a fast and reliable trigger, but it's also very safe. I have a number of Geissele triggers, but this is the quickest trigger I own and it's my favorite. Optics Planet shipped it fast and it came nice and pretty in the retail packaging. It comes with everything you need to get it installed in your lower, including some ALG Go Juice. All in all a very positive experience and excellent upgrade.

after several attempts at lower budget spring kits and obtaining punches and honing stones i finally know what a great operating trigger feels like. I was able to work my mil -spec parts appropriately to get the feel, but the key work in the last sentence is "operating". When using lighter powered springs in stock parts you run the risk of light primer strikes and using set screws to limit pre-travel can result in unsafe seer re-engagement. The Geissele trigger alleviated all ofthes problems, operates as intended with impressive feel and reset.

I always heard about how good geissele triggers were but never wanted to fork up the cash for one, but the hype is real and i'm glad i did cause i won't be buying any other triggers that ain't geissele.

Pros:

  • Light pull, crisp break, short reset

Super smooth and crisp single stage trigger, perfect for target shooting and rapid fire drills. Maybe not ideal for self defense but great for the range. My AR is so much better with this trigger. Geissele is the way to go for trigger upgrades.

I would definitely recommend this trigger for any type of AR shooting & will absolutely be replacing all my other AR triggers with a Geissele, couldn't be happier. While it is on the pricer side of replacement triggers it's well worth the price

Cons:

  • haven't found one yet

I own many different rifles and this trigger is one of my favorite. I was not sure about the flat trigger vs curved but it is very comfortable. It came with 2 different springs. I used the 3.5lb spring and it works flawless. i highly recommend this trigger.

I always wanted to try this trigger and finally decided to buy it. Once I got it I quickly installed it super easy. Right away I started messing with it and let me this you this trigger feels amazing. Once I got to shoot it I was sold. I highly recommend.

Feels amazing, game changer train train train!
Easy to install. Has a good feel to it. Just a killer trigger. I wouldn’t go with another trigger I have this trigger installed on all my rifles. What I do recommend if you decide to go with this trigger is to train since it is 3.5lb.

I have one on each of my guns. It’s a solid upgrade from factory and you won’t be disappointed. There’s a reason the best gun manufacturers install these in theirs guns. You can’t go wrong. They are durable and dependable.

I’ve owned lots of Geissele triggers before as they’ve come with my high end rifles so this is my first time actually purchasing solo trigger. OP was great with excellent customer service. After install in my Daniel Defense I immediately noticed the trigger had a rough gritty tight feel to it. I ran 200 rds through it hoping to loosen it up but all it did was cause my rifle to cycle slower during rapid firing. I switched the buffer system from H1 to the Geissele Super 42 H2 and H3, still the same. I thought about sending it back (still may) but didn’t want to deal with delays. I’m going to call Geissele to see is we can remedy this as I’ve heard they’ve got great customer service as well.

To most people, a “match trigger” in a AR15 platform belongs on a rifle with a 16 to 22 inch  precision barrel. During the course of my career I have shot the normal GI trigger that I was given. During sniper school the precision platform opened up to me, but the desire of a nicer trigger didn’t really bleed down to my other carbines until I shot a friend’s Geissele trigger a few years ago. I have since tried many “match” triggers of all types and from numerous companies, never really finding something I liked enough to warrant the additional funds.

I shoot a lot of 1911 like most of the other contributors on this site and personally use primarily a flat blade trigger. This preference of a flat trigger has bled down to my bolt guns as well. I learned that Geissele was producing a flat blade trigger and I had to try it, so I ordered 1 of every model ( Super Dynamic 3 gun, Super Dynamic Enhanced, and Super Dynamic Combat).

Geissele Automatics was established in 2004 by Bill Geissele to produce triggers for CMP and NRA High Power Rifle competition. His first trigger, the Hi-Speed National Match quickly proved itself as reliable, high quality trigger, and robust. This reputation of quality garnered the attention of the US military for its use in semi-automatic precision rifles. Gradually Geissele has added more and more models of adjustable and non-adjustable triggers to their line as well as modular rail systems for the AR-15 platform, weapons tools, and triggers for other weapon systems as well.

For any shooter who enjoys a flat trigger, look no further then the SD-3G from Geissele.

I will first focus on the Super Dynamic 3 Gun trigger for this review as it’s the only single stage of the three, but stand by for more on the other two variations at a later date. The SD-3G is a flat shoe trigger based off their Super 3 Gun (SD-3G) trigger which is a derivative of their Super Select-Fire combat trigger (SSF). I installed two of them in my two primary carbines used for my personal training.

Like all of Geissele’s triggers the quality is evident in all models. Included with the trigger is a clear set of directions, trigger pin slave and grease. The machining of the trigger is excellent with no sharp edges or burrs. The face is smooth almost to a polish. The trigger breaks at a crisp 3-4 pounds from my finger weight scale.

The trigger is a non-adjustable single stage and drops in just like any other AR trigger. If new to changing lower parts in your rifle, don’t be afraid. There is any number of resources online with video walk-through on most steps of building a AR15. Youtube is a excellent resource as well for AR15 assembly and disassembly.

The SD-3G is a very well designed trigger and compared to a standard trigger almost a work of art.

I have had the triggers for about 6-8 months now, teaching for most of it and have put approximately 2,500-3000 rounds per trigger. The trigger from out of the box was really easy to shoot, and gradually got better and better. I can honestly say I won’t go back to the ol‘ GI unless forced to. The SD-3G gives a crisp, consistent trigger break with a really short reset making speed shooting a absolute pleasure. For anyone who is a fan of the flat triggers on their 1911’s I highly suggest giving the Geissele Dynamic triggers a run through your AR15 platform rifles.

What is a 2 stage trigger?

Instead of firing as one smooth range of motion like a single-stage trigger, a two-stage trigger requires an extra pull range to facilitate firing. The trigger is pulled until the trigger pull weight changes; pulling beyond that point discharges the firearm.

Is a two

Two-stage triggers are of their greatest benefit in high stress, high adrenaline situations where accidental discharges and hitting the wrong target is most destructive.

What is a single set trigger?

A single set trigger is usually one trigger that may be fired with a conventional amount of trigger pull weight or may be "set" – usually by pushing forward on the trigger, or by pushing forward on a small lever attached to the rear of the trigger.

What is a set trigger on a rifle?

noun. 1. : a trigger on a rifle that may be adjusted for the amount of pressure required to pull it. : one of a pair of triggers on some rifles that sets the action so that a very light pull on the second trigger will fire the piece.
