masked_yazoo 7 years ago#10 WingFenice posted... First season is pretty average, Fumoffu and Second Raid are much better because KyoAni did them. Second Raid is kind of bad too Remember, kids...Chu-Chu died for your sins! |

Most of the anime I've enjoyed tend to be comedy/slice of life/drama stuff like Haruhi Suzumiya and Kanon. I've managed to finish most of the stuff KyoAni has done (Clannad, K-On, Lucky Star, etc) but I always tended to stay away from Full Metal Panic Fumoffu! simply because I haven't watched the first Full Metal Panic stuff. If someone could tell me, do I need to know what happened in the first season to enjoy or even understand what happens in Fumoffu? I've never liked any of the mecha-type anime to begin with so it'd be nice to know if I can still enjoy Full Metal Panic Fumoffu! without having to watch the first season.
Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu is the second anime based on the Full Metal Panic! franchise. It is actually a spin-off rather than than a direct sequel.
Plot
The story takes place six months after the original series where Sousuke Sagara has been assigned to protect the highly valuable target: Kaname Chidori, but Sagara hasn't yet been able to fit in within the society of Jindai High school and the community as more and more properties are damaged in the school. Even if Sagara was assigned to protect Chidori, he became strict when thugs and gangs have attempted to kidnap and torture Chidori, but Sousuke has been into combat training, even using the newest technology, as he had to prepare for the worst between Jindai and the outside world, but it seems that Sousuke has developed a bond with Chidori.
