The Draco is a semi-automatic pistol with a ten round or 30 round capacity detachable magazine. The Draco Pistol, while designed for sporting use, has as its design inspiration of the famous AK-47 rifle designed by Milhail Kalashnikov of Russia. Featuring double locking lugs, unlocking raceway, and trigger mechanism are clearly derived form the earlier American M1 Grand Rifle. The safety lever is surprisingly similar to the John Browning-designed Remington Model 8 rifle. These designs make it a compact, reliable and highly durable package. The Draco is utilized in over 100 countries because of it's performance in non ideal conditions and environments. Not for sale in NJ, MA, NY, CA, CT, HI or where prohibited by law. Century Arms Draco Ergonomics
Out of the box, the Mini Draco comes with a standard AK47 pistol grip that leaves much to be desired in the comfort department. The front grip of this pistol is a standard wooden furniture set that you would find on a Romanian WASR-10. The sights are best used with the user employing a one-point sling on the back of the firearm while pushing the gun forward with both hands, as there is no stock to get a proper cheek weld.
Century Arms Draco Fit & Finish
Just like every AK pattern firearm, the Century Arms Draco also has parts that rattle when you shake it because the rifle’s reliability depends on having considerable amounts of free space between moving parts. The black phosphate coating found on all of the metal parts is exactly what one would expect out of any AK pattern gun. The wooden handguard is identical to the other handguards found on AKM pattern firearms made at the Cigur factory in Romania.
