Great story with beautiful filmingIt's a decent version of the second of Jin Yong's Condor Trilogy. As typical of these novels, this story follows the protagonists through their adventures. There are plenty of twists and turns and great fight sequences. The actress playing the female lead, Xiaolongnu, was panned as fat and unfitting for a role reserved for a stunning beauty. However, there are many other beautiful female characters and a handsome Yang Guo. One just has to get beyond the expectation that the female lead should be stunning and enjoy the film. The protagonists are not the most likable characters but the viewers will warm up to them as the series progress. If you are into wuxia, this series is still very entertaining.

These episodes are cut and edited! This is a great production don't believe the haters that have not even watched it. The only problem is these episodes here on Amazon are 45 mins edited for commercials. Entire scenes are cut. Great fight scenes are cut! Amazon please put up the entire unedited 50min episodes. If we were to buy it on dvd it would be unedited but we cannot find the eng subtitles. Your killing us.

This is not the complete versionI'd give 5 stars for RoCH 2014, but this is NOT RoCH 2014. This is an edited, watered down version of RoCH 2014.
A good example is episode 20, in which they cut out the Jade Maiden Sutra fight. Yes, not only did they cut parts, but they cut some of the best parts.
The Amazon Prime version of this series is FALSE.

Not for puristsThis TV series is supposed to be based on the novel "Return of the Condor Heroes" by Jin Yong and shares identical Chinese title with the book. However, its plot line deviated from the book by quite a lot, and not for the better. The
slapstick humor is not funny, even if you understand Chinese. For purists, the 2006 series with the original name (also available on Amazon Prime) staring Chinese American actress Liu Yifei as Xiaolongnü is a better choice.
However, this production beats the older version in video quality, scenery, and fighting sequence.
Chinese viewers also criticize the appearance of the lead actress Michelle Chen as fat, calling her xiaolongbao.

Cheap ProductionThis is one of the worse casting of Xiao Long Nu. She reflects little resemblance of the novel's depiction. But even when setting aside that, there is Very Poor character development (which I believe Jin Yong would feel insulted). The custom design is cheap and directing is sub par. Not worth the time.

was not impressedonly watched this cause of this mention of actors but it was so underwhelming and too overly compensating of the theme.

Worst C-drama Ive watched, ever! What a cluster-f. So much potential but the characters and storyline were all over the place. The MC and his girl are obnoxious, so many episodes of her running off for the same reasons, then they get back together. So many characters who get killed off, and youre left wondering why you had to watch their story in the first place. Casual rape. Childish perspectives on love and life. A serial killer woman who somehow convinces everyone that ganging up on her is unfair.

SpeechlessLi Mocho is much, much prettier then the younger master who's also fall in with a man. I would prefer Li Mocho over the everone else to be my only main character.
