Fortnite is lit up in the evenings by fireflies – living creatures that love to fly in one pile. And unlike real life, where fireflies have a slightly different behavior, in Fortnite they spawn in one place and don’t move anywhere from this place. In this article, you will find out Fortnite Firefly locations in Season 3 Chapter 3.
Fireflies appear on the map closer to dusk. They can be distinguished by a small illuminated area. Looking for them at night is a pleasure, the main thing is to know exactly where to look. And you need to do this, because they are often needed for daily or weekly quests.
Fortnite Fireflies can be used to destroy buildings or enemies with fire. It is enough just to pick up the jar and throw it towards the object.

- How to Get (& Use) Fireflies in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4
To get Fireflies in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4, players must search for small glowing bugs in the wooded areas around prominent landmarks.
One of the many Daily Quests in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4 is "Collect Fireflies," tasking participants with locating and capturing the incendiary insects. Fireflies have been around since Chapter 2: Season 3, as they can be caught to create a Firefly Jar. Firefly Jars are explosive throwables that can be hurled at players or structures, torching them upon impact. Likewise, another challenge that fans receive during Fortnite's Chapter 3: Season 4 is igniting structures, a task that comes as part of the Herald Questline. Finding fire damage weaponry can be tricky considering their low drop rates, but using common Fireflies to do the job is notably easier.
Fireflies can be found at a total of eighteen locations on the Battle Royale map in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4. Moreover, multiple nodes spawn in a single location, meaning that there are likely dozens of spots on the island where players can find Fireflies. Listing every single one would be impractical since the resource is abundant. However, those looking to complete the related challenges are likely looking for the best places to find Fireflies in Fortnite quickly. One such location would be the grove of giant bushes at Sunflower Saplings.
Fireflies Locations in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4
Sunflower Saplings is an unmarked map location west of Lustrous Lagoon and north of Chrome Crossroads in Fortnite. Recommended by YouTuber HarryNinetyFour, this spot spawns three Firefly nodes, which is the perfect number to complete the Daily Quest "Collect Fireflies." Furthermore, if players explore north of the large bushes, they will find a large wooden barn-like structure. Using the Firefly Jars collected from the Fireflies, set the building alight. As a wooden structure, the fire should spread fairly quickly and without effort from players.
If the challenge still requires players to burn more structures, they can find a small wooden shack north of the barn west of Sunflower Saplings. Use another jar to burn this shed to fulfill the quest. Two other excellent spots to find Fireflies in Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 4 are the woodlands north of the Lustrous Lagoon and the forest area surrounding Grim Gables in Fortnite. These areas have multiple Firefly spawns like Sunflower Saplings. Firefly Jars can also be found in random chests and typically come in stacks of three. However, this procurement method is much more randomized, meaning it might take a few loot containers before fans can encounter the Fireflies. Keep in mind that collecting Fireflies in the wild leaves players vulnerable to being ambushed for several moments. Thus, it is essential to be watchful of one's surroundings while catching the bugs in Fortnite.
