Millionaire's Row

I'll be in FL next month, and I plan on making a drive down through Naples to burn some time. I have looked at much of the area of Google Maps, and there are some very nice estates. I enjoy looking at different houses and it would be a good "free" activity for us to do.

Are there any great roads for looking at the houses? I'm sure many are difficult to see with tree, bushes, etc. I intend on cruising down Gordon Drive for sure. Also, it looks like none of the neighborhoods are gated? I'm surprised by that.

I like the area of homes around 3rd street and the whole Old Naples area. It's really pretty with large older more stylish homes ( not so cookie cutter) and lush landscaping and lots of tropical flowers. All of Naples is landscaped so beautifully really anywhere you go is pretty to look at. Be sure to stroll the shops on 5th ave as well for an upscale experience and take trip to the Naples Zoo and the Botanical Gardens.

Gordon it is...and have the realtor.com app open while you go so you can see the pricing and interiors. It's mind boggling!

Pure Naples offers a sightseeing cruise. You'll see some of the mansions in Port Royal. Gordon in the post above refers to Gordon Drive in Naples.

I’d jump on the Naples Princess Yacht and you ll get the history of the area, a lovely yacht ride ( bar, bathrooms, light food and snack offerings) and see the beautiful homes from the waterside... where the landscape and pools are all open for viewing. Outside and inside covered seating. It’s a great experience overall. There’s a sunset ride as well. Book in advance, try Groupon for discount tix.

There is another boat that does this... someone else may have mentioned but it is not amenity driven and basically looks like a fishing boat, not a yacht.

Enjoy ur visit.

Just took the Pure Florida tour boat of the sound. There is a discount coupon in the tourist books at Tin City. It is located near Pinchers, the restaurant, or just park at Tin City. The estates are easier to see from the water than the road. Many have been repaired with roof shingles and still have the blue tarps on them from Irma. But it is a nice boat tour, very calm even if there is rain since it is protected. The Gordon inlet is the outlet of the Gulf and is very clear that the water on the Gulf can be more active with waves. One of the estates at Gordon Inlet reported to pay $450,000 a year in taxes, the most in Naples. Many yachts.
