Hint: Hydrosulfuric acid is another name for a very well known compound i.e., hydrogen sulphide whose chemical formula is ${{H}_{2}}S$. Also the structure of ${{H}_{2}}S$ is almost similar to that of ${{H}_{2}}O$.

Complete answer: Hydrosulfuric acid (also known as hydrogen sulfide or sulfane) exists in the form of a colorless gas and has a rotten egg smell. This gas is known for being flammable, corrosive and toxic in nature.

- To solve this question we must know about binary acids as well. A binary acid is a chemical compound where we will generally find one element to be hydrogen (H) and the other element to be a non-metal. These acids are also known as hydracids. All binary acids have similar nomenclature:-‘Hydro’ is used as a prefixAfter ‘hydro’ comes the anionic part which will be a non metal‘ic’ is used as a suffixAt last, the ‘acid’ is used as the second word. -According to this nomenclature rule the chemical formula of hydrosulfuric acid will be ${{H}_{2}}S$(as hydro means ‘H’ and sulphur means ‘S’. 2 atoms of hydrogen are involved so as to satisfy the valency and octet of sulfur. -The structure of hydrosulfuric acid (${{H}_{2}}S$) is just similar to water (${{H}_{2}}O$).

Additional Information: -Hydrosulfuric acid in the production of sulfuric acid and elemental sulfur.

-It is also used in leather, dyes, pesticides and pharmaceuticals and also as agricultural disinfectant.-${{H}_{2}}S$ is used for the production of heavy water in nuclear power plants.

Note: Remember that sulfur is not as electronegative as oxygen atom. Therefore ${{H}_{2}}S$ is not as polar as ${{H}_{2}}O$ due to which relatively weaker intermolecular forces exist in ${{H}_{2}}S$ and the melting and boiling point are way lower compared to water.

Hydrosulfuric Acid is commonly known as hydrogen sulphide. It is a colourless chemical compound, with the odour of rotten eggs. In nature, it is a poisonous, flammable and corrosive chemical compound. Hydrosulfuric Acid is also known as chalcogen hydride gas, sewer gas and stink damp. Hydrosulfuric Acid (H2S) is found in natural gases, volcanic gases, hot springs and crude petroleum. A small amount of Hydrosulfuric Acid is produced by the human or animal body to utilise as a signalling molecule. Hydrosulfuric Acid is a chemical compound that can be produced in absence of oxygen gas by microbial breakdown of organic matter.

A Chemical compound formed by one element of non-metal and other elements of hydrogen is known as binary acids. It is also known as hydracids. Similar nomenclature is used for all the binary acids.

‘Hydro” followed by anionic part and ‘ic’ at the end. In simple words 'Hydro' is used as a prefix to the anionic non-metal and ‘ie’ is as a suffix. In the end, acid is used as the last word.

According to this nomenclature hydrogen is ‘Hydro’ anionic as sulphur and ‘ic’ in the end, so Hydro-sulfur-ic acid. The chemical formula derived from the rules of nomenclature is H2S.

The structure of Hydrosulfuric Acid (H2S) is similar to that of Water (H2O). Hydrosulfuric Acid is not as polar as water because sulphur is not as electronegative as water. Due to this, the intermolecular forces between H2S is lower as compared to H2O. Which results in low melting and boiling point of water.
