Up to $20 million of cover if your car damages someone else's vehicle or property.

If your car is stolen or damaged by someone attempting to steal it, we cover repairs or pay you the amount you covered your car for (up to $10,000) less any deductions.
(If car is damaged we may repair/pay less than $10,000.)​

When your car is damaged by a collision with another vehicle driven by an uninsured driver, we cover damage to your car (up to the amount of $5,000), but only if, the other driver was entirely at fault and you can give us the name and address of the person at fault and the registration number of the at fault vehicle.​

If your car is damaged by fire or a total loss, we cover repairs or pay you the amount covered you have chosen (up to $10,000) less any deductions.

We keep you on the road if your car was stolen with a hire car that meets your needs until your car's returned undamaged or repaired or your claim is settled, to a maximum of 21 days.

Left something in the car? We pay up to $500 for things that were in your car when the car was stolen, such as phones, laptops or clothing. (Exceptions apply such as cash and tools.)​

How much your car’s insured for.

It’s the maximum amount we’ll pay for loss or damage to your car caused by an insured incident.  The amount is shown on your certificate of insurance and includes GST.

We consider your car a total loss when:

  • It's stolen and unrecovered after 14 days; or
  • It's uneconomical, impractical or unsafe to repair.

We cover damage you cause to other people’s cars or property in an accident (up to $20 million).

We cover damage to your car if an uninsured driver causes an accident2 (up to $5,000).

We pay for towing to a repairer or safe place if your car’s damaged by an uninsured driver2.

We cover you if you occasionally drive your personal car for a ridesharing service like Uber3.

The main thing you get with Third Party Property Damage Insurance is ‘liability cover’.

It’s a basic level of cover (all our car insurance policies come with liability cover up to $20 million).

It covers you for damage you cause to other people’s cars or property in an accident.

Yes, you can pay by the month for your car insurance.

You’ll still pay for 12 months of insurance, but we’ll spread the payments out over the year.

You’ll save money if you pay for the whole year at once but, if monthly is better for you, choose it when you get a quote.

You don’t need to list them on your policy unless they’re the registered owner of the car.

So, for example, if you own your car and your son or daughter is learning to drive, we’ll cover them even if they’re not listed.

We operate in New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory, Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

  1. Cover is subject to standard underwriting guidelines and policy terms. An additional excess applies to drivers under 25 or with less than 2 years’ driving experience.

  2. Your car’s covered if we agree it was the other driver's fault and you have their name, address and rego number.

  3. You’re covered if you’ve told us you’re using your own personal car for ridesharing and pay any extra premium. Only owners listed on the policy are covered when using the car for ridesharing.

  4. Any applicable discounts may be subject to minimum premiums. Discounts only apply until a minimum premium is reached. When we determine your premium on renewal, we may also limit any increases or decreases in your premium by considering factors such as your previous year’s premium amount. You may not save more with more eligible policies and by staying with us longer if a minimum premium is reached, or we have limited increases or decreases in your premium.
