Matt Ryan’s wife Sarah Ryan is a former high school basketball legend. Before she settled down with Matt, she tore up the Maine basketball record books. Boston College recruited Sarah, and she started as a point guard for three years. The couple met at BC while both were ripping it up. In fact, they met in the weight room while they were pumping iron.

That’s right folks. Matt Ryan’s wife gave birth to twins. I suppose we can let a little time off the ‘gram go unpunished. It appears everyone is finding their groove and doing well.
Now, Matt Ryan’s wife works for the Atlanta Dream (WNBA). She is officially a sponsorship sales consultant. I cannot oversell how much of a huge athlete she was in Maine: named the Maine Female Athlete of the Year back in the day. In fact, I was working at a Portland Maine news channel during her heyday – she was honestly a big deal. Fast forward to current day, where Matt and Sarah Ryan have no kids to look after yet. The couple can travel a lot, attend games, visit family and friends often. Earlier in 2016, Sarah played some golf while celebrating her friends’ wedding. I do get the sense she has a natural, competitive sports streak.
Matt and Ryan like to travel to exotic places as much as any other pro athlete with a fat wallet. I suppose the offseason is a time to explore tropical, curated paradises. Matt Ryan’s wife says she doesn’t have a short temper, she just has a quick reaction to BS. I like that description because it captures her well. Mrs. Ryan seems to hang out with her mother in Maine whenever she can. The two of them engaged in some karaoke sessions, and Sarah posted them on her social media. There is a movie called “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” and Sarah likes to make jokes about the billboards the campaign employed. The billboards featured huge messages saying, “My mom always hated you, Sarah Marshall.” In conclusion, It’s an honor to one’s name featured in a full-length motion picture!

On 21 March, 2022, it was announced that Matt Ryan has been traded from the Atlanta Falcons to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a third-round draft pick.
Ryan, who turns 37 before the start of next season, threw for 3,968 yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions last year.
In 2016, Ryan was the NFL’s Most Valuable Player. He also led the Falcons to Super Bowl LI, where they were defeated by the New England Patriots.

Matt Ryan’s wife is Sarah Marshall Ryan. The couple met while studying at Boston College in their freshman year. Like her future husband, Sarah is very athletic, and was named Maine’s Female Athlete of the Year when she was just a junior in high school.
She majored in Communications at Boson College and was actively involved in the school’s sporting programs.

Speaking about meeting Matt in college, Sarah said (via Meaww): “All the athletes there and all the teams worked out in the same building. So as cliche as it sounds, we first met in the weight room.
“It started out as a friendship. We’d see each other in the hallways and we had the same group of friends and one thing led to another.”

Matt proposed to Sarah in 2010, and the couple tied the knot on 8 April, 2011.
Sarah has been hugely supportive of Matt’s NFL career. When he visited Boston College in 2016 for his jersey retirement, he said, “meeting Marshall was probably the most important thing that happened during my five years here.”

Matt Ryan’s children
After six years of marriage, Sarah and Matt announced they were expecting their first child in November 2017. They welcomed twins Johnny Matthew Ryan and Marshall Thomas Ryan in 2018.
At the time Sarah told People magazine, “It has been a long and challenging road but it has all been worth it. Matt and I couldn’t be happier to have them home.”
Interestingly, Matt’s brother Mike is married to Sarah’s sister Maggie. They have three children together.

The Falcons traded longtime quarterback Matt Ryan to the Colts on Monday after 14 seasons in Atlanta. Following the news of yet another blockbuster spin on the NFL’s quarterback carousel, Ryan’s wife Sarah, expressed her gratitude for the organization and the city they’ve called home for his entire NFL career.
“I’m not crying, you’re crying,” Sarah tweeted alongside a Ryan tribute video from the Falcons. “Forever thankful to this team, fan base and city!”
Sarah, who has been married to Ryan since 2011 and shares twin sons with the quarterback, also celebrated her husband’s new team by sharing a gif of the Colts’ mascot, Blue.
Throughout the day Monday, Sarah also posted sincere messages on her Instagram Story from loved ones, who congratulated the Ryans on their next move. Kelly Stafford, the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and a close friend, celebrated the Colts’ gain.
“Let’s f–king goooooo!! Although damnit they are gonna be so damn good now!” Stafford posted on her Instagram Story, adding, “Prayers to the falcons.”
The Falcons selected Ryan No. 3 overall in 2008. He is a four-time Pro Bowler and was named the league’s MVP in 2016. In 17 games last season, he threw for 3,968 yards with 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
Atlanta had been the mix for Deshaun Watson’s services up until last week, when the Browns stunned the league by trading for the estranged Texans quarterback. Cleveland offered Watson a five-year, $230 million deal, fully guaranteed.
The Colts, meanwhile, had been in the market for a quarterback after sending Carson Wentz to the Commanders earlier this month. The former Eagles quarterback had spent one season in Indianapolis.
