If you’ve been binge-watching season 2 of Netflix’s Love Is Blind, then you already know that Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen are a fan-favorite couple! The 29-year-old consulting manager and the 32-year-old Chicago-based real estate agent had their ups and downs in the pods — ahem, Shayne’s connection with contestant Shaina Hurley — however, they ended up getting engaged in episode 3. Question is, are Natalie and Shayne still together after the season finale? Do Shayne and Natalie get married?
In episode 9, Shayne and Natalie appeared to be ready to walk down the aisle and both of their families were fully supportive of their union!
However, things took an unexpected turn when Natalie was seen crying in previews for episode 10. “Shayne and I got into a fight, and he said some hurtful things to me … I don’t know,” she explained to the camera through tears.
“I do love you, you’re my best friend,” Shayne said hesitantly in the clip.
The couple had a dramatic argument off-camera prior to their wedding, with Natalie asking Shayne if he had too much to drink. She then claimed he got “really, really angry” with her and he even said she was “the worst thing” to happen to him. After the fight, Shayne said “I do” at the altar, but Natalie did not.
“It wasn’t just one thing that caused that fight. I think it was a lot of things that had built up in terms of what he was feeling,” Natalie tells Life & Style. “I think also the pressure of our wedding got to us as well. So, it wasn’t one thing. It was an accumulation of a lot of different things that caused quite a big fight between us.”
According to Natalie, the pair’s troubles were there from “the beginning” of their relationship, but only when they argued.
“It just took us a lot longer to resolve our arguments because the way we communicate is so different and there would be a lot of misunderstandings,” she recalls. “In terms of like the everyday life, us just communicating, you know, it was near perfect. Like, what you see on the show is how we really interacted with one another. It’s just that when it came to the arguments, that’s when our communication styles clashed.”
While the cast got to know each other in the pods, fans witnessed Shane develop an instant connection with both Natalie and Shaina. Eventually, Shayne asked Natalie to be his girlfriend and Shaina decided to pursue her bond with contestant Kyle Abrams.
After Shayne and Natalie got engaged in episode 3, they flew to Mexico to join the other five engaged couples, Shaina and Kyle included, for some relaxation and romance in paradise. Once in Mexico, Shayne and Natalie’s relationship only grew stronger.
For Shaina and Kyle, the 32-year-old hairstylist decided she needed some time to think about their future and left Mexico, thus never getting the chance to meet Shayne.
When Shaina and Kyle returned to Mexico, it became clear that their religious differences were too much to overcome, and they split. Afterward, Shaina met up with some contestants in Chicago for a beach BBQ, where she and Shayne finally came face to face.
Although they both admitted to finding the other attractive, Shaina called into question Shayne’s whole relationship with Natalie and suggested they’d never last.
Shaina is now happily engaged to fiancé Chris Lardakis, Life & Style confirmed in early March.
Well … they tried! “We reconnected four times after the show,” Shayne explained during a March 30 episode of Nick Viall‘s podcast, “The Viall Files.”
“We tried four times — just recently this past weekend,” he added, noting the former flames “over” for good.
Season 2 of Love Is Blind, including the reunion special, is available to stream on Netflix.
The second season of Love Is Blind has featured so many shocking moments, and the wedding episode only upped the ante. (And so did that bonkers reunion.)
But one of the biggest questions viewers want answered is, what happened to Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen after what happened at the altar? Here's everything we know about the couple.
What happened in the Love Is Blind finale?
Before their wedding, Shayne and Natalie seemed like one of the strongest couples. Their quirky senses of humor seemed to mesh, and even their families appeared to like the partnership. Unfortunately, Shayne and Natalie had a huge fight the night before their wedding. The fight apparently transpired when Natalie asked her husband-to-be if he'd maybe had too much to drink. In the heat of the moment, Shayne told Natalie he hated her and that she was the worst thing that ever happened to him. Ouch.
At the altar, Natalie told Shayne she couldn't marry him, saying, “I think we’ve grown a lot as two people who have fallen in love. I know I’ve grown a lot because of you. But I don’t. I’m so sorry. I still love you and you’re still my best friend but, like, we have really big issues to sort through.”
Afterwards, outside the venue Natalie indicated that she didn't want to break up. “We can still try to work on this,” she told him. “I'm not closing the door on us.” However, Shayne seemed pretty heartbroken about Natalie's decision to say no, and told cameras that he didn't think there was a way back from this. While Natalie wanted to work on their problems, Shayne was too distraught to know what to do next.
What happened at the Love Is Blind reunion?
During the Love Is Blind season 2 reunion, Shayne and Natalie made some pretty big revelations about their relationship. The pair revealed that, at the time of filming, they weren't together, but that they'd tried to make their relationship work after their onscreen wedding went awry. Both Natalie and Shayne got visibly emotional when talking about their romance, with Natalie admitting that she'd found it hard to let go of the fight they'd had the night before the wedding.
As for Shayne's connection with Shaina, it was confirmed that although they'd hung out since the show ended, they were purely on platonic terms. Shayne didn't even want to speak about Shaina during the reunion, hinting that he didn't want to taint any future chance he might have with Natalie. Clearly, there's still a lot of love between Natalie and Shayne, even if they're not together right now.
Are Shayne and Natalie still together?
Judging by Shayne and Natalie's Instagram accounts, they're still on speaking terms. They follow each other, and fans have noticed some low-key flirty interactions between them.
Perhaps giving us the most hope is a piece of investigative work carried out by one super-savvy Love Is Blind fan. Sadie Mae Fisher took to Twitter to share screenshots from Shayne and Natalie's Instagram Stories, which revealed the pair was in the same bar at the same time. Plus, Shayne's photo included an emoji of a couple holding hands, which definitely suggested they were on a date.
Another eagle-eyed fan found that Shayne and Natalie both appear to be living in Chicago right now, which could mean they're making their relationship work.
Plus, both Natalie and Shayne have shared some cute behind-the-scenes snaps from their time on the show, which suggests they're still on good terms, if nothing else.
On February 24, Natalie shared some sleek snaps with the caption, “being the sun that chicago needs right now.” Shayne replied with a pretty flirty emoji.
On February 16, Natalie captioned her photos and a hilarious Love Is Blind clip with, “he may have abs but I have ibs.” Could this be a reference to Shayne?

Meanwhile, when Shayne posted a clip from the couple's discussion about what to serve at the wedding, Natalie commented, writing, “I’m always down for an old fashioned fountain.”
And when Shayne shared some special moments from his Love Is Blind journey, Natalie made her feelings known. “To say I had a crazy week is an understatement! As I reflect back on the pods and my time in Mexico, I made some great connections and life long friends,” Shayne wrote on Instagram. “I want to make sure everyone knows that Natalie is [an] incredible woman with a huge heart and I hope everyone stays tune[d] to see how it all unfolds! I wouldn’t trade my time on this wild ride for anything. ❤️.” Natalie commented simply with a heart emoji, which speaks volumes.

Before the reunion aired, Shayne shared a tribute to Natalie on Instagram, writing, "Natalie Mina Lee. Where do I start? This journey with you will be something I’ll never forget. It was easily the best time of my life and I would do it all over again knowing I get to spend more time with you. From our first date eating in-n-out and you getting both milkshakes to our walks around grant park. You are the most beautiful soul and you really brought out the best in me as a man. As a man watching our story over again I’m remorseful for my actions and all I can do is learn from them to be a better man. I’m proud of being vulnerable and being as genuine as possible. I don’t know what’s next for us but I do know that I will never stop loving you."

Shayne also addressed those persistent Shaina rumors, saying, "To put some other rumors to rest, Shaina and I are cordial and have hung out in group gatherings with the cast (with Natalie), but we have never had nor will ever have a romantic relationship. I wish her all the best."
Natalie also posted a tribute to Shayne, writing, "And to @shaynejansen - I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this. We may have had our ups and downs, but you have always protected me and had my back. And thank you for loving me for ME, and always encouraging me to embrace and love my flaws. When I told you I was self conscious about my deep stretch marks, you told me everyday after you loved them and they were beautiful. Even if I did this experiment a thousand times knowing the outcome, I would have always chosen you."
