Legend of the Guardians' dark tone and dazzling visuals are to be admired, even if they're ultimately let down by a story that never lives up to its full potential. Read critic reviewscritics consensus

Audience Reviews for Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole

I do not have anything even remotely resembling a clue about what I just watched, but like... Pretty cute.

For a animation film about owls it was pretty good, Mostly down to Zack Snyders directing style, The voice cast wasn't nothing great and the story was very predictable but it had some fun action scenes done in classic Snyder slow motion style, I can't comment on the 3D as I watched the 2D version, The animation was amazing and really is the main reason to watch the film, The dark tone works well as there's very little humour which I found worked well, If you know Zack Snyder films you know what to expect so don't go into this expecting some shitty Disney song along because you will be disappointed.

While the film may lose much of it's story in translation, Legend of the Guardians is still a beautifully animated and surprisingly darker animated tale that isn't afraid to take risks - even if some of them don't work.
Is Legend of the Guardians 2 on Netflix?
Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole is now on Netflix.Where can I watch Legends of the Guardians 2?
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, an adventure movie starring Jim Sturgess, Emily Barclay, and Ryan Kwanten is available to stream now. Watch it on Hulu, Prime Video, Vudu, Apple TV or Redbox. Will there be a Legends of the Guardians 2?
After Legend of the Guardians' release, plans were made for a sequel, but the second movie was never made. Why is there no Guardians of Ga Hoole 2?
It is likely that Animal Logic, as well as director Zack Snyder, prioritized other projects over a sequel to Legend of the Guardians, perhaps due to the franchise's niche audience and the movie's lower than desired earnings.
