When does the love is blind reunion air

  • On the second season of Love Is Blind, not every couple says "I do."
  • But there will be a reunion where contestants will talk it all out together.
  • The special will premiere on March 4, and it's pretty safe to say there will be drama.

All good things must come to an end, and season 2 of Love Is Blind is, unfortunately, not an exception to this rule.

The latest season flew by faster than most fans wanted, but there's still the reunion to look forward to. Despite the end of 10 love-filled episodes, some questions are left unanswered, while other questions have come up due to recent off-screen events (but we'll get into that).

If you need a refresher on where things left off with the most talked-about couples during the finale, plus all the post-show drama that's ensued, read on for a full explainer.

The show is an experiment aimed at showing whether love really is blind.

  • Where Did The 'Love Is Blind' Rings Come From?

Hopeful singles enter “pods” (which are essentially rooms with dividers) and are given a chance to chat with other potential partners. The catch: They can’t see each other, so they are forced to evaluate whether or not to get married based on conversation and emotional connection.

They can only see each other in the flesh after they’ve gotten engaged. Then all of the couples are taken on a Mexican getaway and then move in together to see how things will work out IRL.

Soooo...when is the reunion?

Yes. After its 10 episode-run, these crazy kids will be reuniting for a catch-up special. Netflix has done a truly cruel thing where they’ve dropped these LIB episodes in batches to avoid a true binge and looks like the reunion will require a teeny bit of waiting, too. The reunion special will drop on March 4.

Here's the deal. *Spoilers ahead*

So, for those of you who have been tuning in: not a great success rate on the couples this go around! If you were waiting for the sparks flying, truly mesmerizing Lauren and Cam fairytale reboot from season 1, you’re not getting it this time. Because the season 2 cast is truly something else.

There were six couples who left the pods engaged (or, at least those are the ones Netflix followed, two other couples got engaged as well). There was Mallory and Salvador, Shake and Deepti, Natalie and Shayne, Shaina and Kyle, Jarrette and Iyanna, and Nick and Danielle.

Only two of the couples actually said their vows: Nick and Danielle and Jarrette and Iyanna. These are both shocking developments, as Danielle really appeared to lose her goddamn mind after about episode 6, and Jarette and Iyanna seemed doomed from the start. (He had feelings for Mallory that seemed unresolved).

But nevertheless—they persisted and got hitched. We will have to wait another week to see how that went down in the real world.

As for the rest of our couples, things didn’t turn out all unicorns and butterflies.

Natalie and Shayne, who were arguably the most controversial couple of the bunch, called it quits on wedding day after an explosive fight left Natalie shook.

Shake and Deepti also didn’t make it through the ceremony. Viewers know that while Shake said Deepti was his “hype woman” and “an amazing person,” he felt no physical attraction to her. A fact he shared with, what seemed like, the entire city of Cancún before letting his fiancée know. Well, once Deepti found this out she realized she deserved better and dipped. They hope to still be friends, but we shall see.

The couple affectionately called “Sallory” or Sal and Mallory also did not make it to the altar. After some concerns were raised with Sal’s family, they called it off. Though, Sal told Mallory he wants to take her out on a date. So TBD on what happens there.

  • Where Is Shaina From 'Love Is Blind' Season 2 Now?

And, as for Shaina, who you might compare to Jessica from season one. Now she didn’t even make it out of Mexico with her boo Kyle, who listed “punch drywall” among his favorite hobbies. After realizing the fact that she is a pretty devout Christian and Kyle is an atheist was a deal breaker on their first day of vacation, Shaina fled the scene. They reunited for a truly cringy meeting with Shaina’s parents, but ultimately, this was not a match made in heaven.

What's happened off camera since the finale?

There's been a lot...and I mean a lot of drama since the finale, which means there will be plenty of moments to look forward to during the reunion.

For starters, viewers are expecting to see Natalie confront Shaina about medaling in her relationship with Shayne. In an interview with ET, Natalie said, "I haven't had the conversation with her about it in terms of where her anger came from or why she called my relationship fraudulent or fake, but I didn't know the extent of that conversation until I saw the show. That was a surprise for me."

Shaina also spoke to ET separately and owned up to making a few petty comments during the show. She also said she wishes Shayne and Natalie "nothing but the best." However, the two have yet to talk one-on-one about the situation, so here's hoping things go over smoothly at the reunion.

The drama aside, Shayne and Natalie seem to be on pretty good terms. Shayne posted a photo dump of the two of them with a caption that implies they're still friends. He wrote, "As a man watching our story over again I’m remorseful for my actions and all I can do is learn from them to be a better man...I don’t know what’s next for us but I do know that I will never stop loving you." In the same post, he also confirmed that he and Shaina "never had nor will ever have a romantic relationship." Case closed.

On another note, Shake and Deepti still seem to be in an awkward situation. Last week, Shake posted a photo of him and Deepti along with a video from their wedding not long after, but he never tagged her in any of the posts. And while Deepti hasn't posted Shake anywhere on her feed, her brother and his wife penned an open letter to Shake, calling him a "loser."

In the lengthy post her brother Sunny Vempati said, "Now normally I don’t get involved in drama but I’mma defend my sister here: ‘Shake’, bruh, you’re a loser." He then went on to say how Shake "minimized my sister's life by making some awful and cringeworthy comments about her."

He even went as far as calling Shake out for pretending his words were taken out of context from the editing and using her family for attention. “We welcomed you into our home, and you saw it as an opportunity for clout; so forgive me if I’m not sympathetic towards you and the hate you’re receiving,” added Vempati. Ouch.

Who will be at the reunion?

If we are to base it on last season, all of the couples in question will attend the reunion. Yes, even Shaina and Kyle. So you know it is going to be one for the ages.
