Galatians 5:22-23 (ESV) names the fruit of the Spirit:
The Holy Spirit produces fruit in the lives of those who believe in and confess Jesus with their mouths. One fruit, with nine characteristics, not many fruits of the Holy Spirit we can pick and choose from. A true Christian will grow in love and in self-control… not in just the character trait that feels easiest and most comfortable to master. Scripture often speaks about Christians bearing fruit. In John 15:5 (ESV), Jesus says: Grab this fruit of the Spirit family Bible study bundle! Your kids will love it! We bear the fruit of the Spirit only because we abide in Christ–apart from him we can do nothing. We bear the whole fruit of the Holy Spirit–we don’t just produce a few winsome character traits. When we teach our children about the fruit of the Spirit in Scripture, these are two points they must understand. Memorizing Bible verses is an important way to meditate on Scripture, but it’s vital that our kids understand the biblical context of memory verses as well.
