Created by Pendleton Ward, Adventure Time was a critically-acclaimed series that ran on air for ten seasons from 2010-2018, where it also received eight Emmy Awards. Did Adventure Time: Distant Lands get Cancelled?Production for these longer stories, however, was halted when the series was cancelled. Later, when HBO and Cartoon Network began to revive the series for the HBO Max streaming service, the Adventure Time writers went back to these old ideas, and in time they generated the four Distant Lands specials.
Is Wizard City a prequel or sequel?The “Wizard City” spinoff follows previous “Adventure Time” specials on HBO Max, “Obsidian” and “Together Again.” This will be the final part of the series.
