The star of Blues Clues, Blue, is a girl puppy who communicates to Steve and Joe through barks, which they understand. Every episode she initiates a game of Blues Clues in which she leaves three paw print clues for Steve or Joe and the viewer to find in order to a question.

Blue's Big City Adventure (previously titled Blue's Broadway Dreams) is an upcoming film. Filmed in New York City, it will be released on November 18, 2022 on Paramount+.

Summary

Josh and Blue will try to audition for a Broadway musical in New York City, but they get lost when Josh forgot his Handy Dandy Notebook at home, so the others go to the city to help bring it to them and get to the audition with help from Joe and Steve.

This is Cinnamon, Joe, Josh, Sage and Ginger’s first appearance in a Blue's Clues film. Cinnamon was not born until 2001, Sage and Ginger weren't born until 2019, and Joe and Josh weren’t introduced on screen until 2002 and 2019, respectively.
This will be the 3rd Nickelodeon movie based on a Nick Jr. series, the 1st being Dora and the Lost City of Gold (based on Dora the Explorer) and the 2nd being PAW Patrol: The Movie (based on PAW Patrol).
- This will also be the 2nd live-action Nickelodeon movie based on a Nick Jr. series after Dora and the Lost City of Gold, and the 2nd animated Nickelodeon movie based on a Nick Jr. series after PAW Patrol: The Movie, as well as the 1st to be both a live action/animated hybrid movie and exclusive to Paramount+.
This movie was filmed in summer 2021, with the last bits being filmed on September 3rd, 2021.
Blue will have updated fur texture for this movie which can briefly be seen in a 25th anniversary music video "You Can't Spell Blue Without You!".
This movie will likely be treated as both a sequel and an updated version of "Blue's Big Musical".
This movie has some similarities to other crossover-based TV episodes of other series and/or films, particularly the recently-released Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Blue Prints Detective Agency appears in the movie. However in Meet Josh! and Mailtime Mystery, it was shown in the background only.
- Both it and the Present Store appear to have been relocated to New York City.
Joshua Dela Cruz's real-life wife, Amanda Dela Cruz (nee Phillips) will be a main player in the film. No further details about her character, besides sharing a name with her actress, have been shared.
On February 15th, 2022, pictures of the movie, as well as its logo, was released onto Paramount+'s streaming services.
The movie was originally going to be called "Broadway Dreams".
This movie will be released on the same day as 123's with Blue, which premiered 3 years ago.
It’s rumored that Nick Balaban (the original composer from the original series) will reprise his role as the voice of Mr. Salt in this movie.
According to the movie, the main setting for the franchise took place in Storybook World (according to Josh), which is different from the real world.
The puppet stage where the curtain is a clue has the name "Frederica" on it, a possible reference to the character of the same name from Blue's Room.
