Can I delete my DoorDash account and make a new one

Rant incoming

So when I was signing up it put my name, number and then my zip

Problem was I just thought they wanted my zip code where I live and not where I would be dashing. Personal info since they seem to want that. I live in a small small town where of course there is no door dash

Well it won’t let you go in further in the sign up because it says “sorry this area is not available for doordash. We will put you on a waiting list and email you if that changes”

Well I know for a fact there is door dash available where I intended to dash about 30 mins away because my gf who lives with me can sign up just like that with the intended area

So now my number and email is locked behind a zip code area where there is no door dash. I chatted with them once and they acted like it’s literally impossible to change that ….. Like why? I can’t sign up with a different email because again my number is trapped behind a account and if I try it says finish signing up, but I literally can’t it won’t let me.

Is my number just forever lost on that account? Would deleting the account do anything or would they old email and number still be stuck on that one?

Sorry for the rant. I guess it’s my fault I just don’t understand how that’s impossible to change…… Wasn’t sure deleting my account and then trying again would do anything

• You can't delete your DoorDash account on the mobile app. 

Maybe you have too many delivery apps on your phone. Maybe it's your New Year's resolution to cook more at home. No matter the reason, deleting your DoorDash account is easy and can be done in just a few simple steps. 

However, you can't do it through the mobile app. You have to log in to your account on a web browser. Before deleting for good, DoorDash also gives you the option to download your data, which includes order information and receipts. It's also important to cancel your DashPass — DoorDash's subscription service where users get unlimited free deliveries on orders over $12 for $9.99 a month — before deleting. 

How to delete your DoorDash account

1. Go to DoorDash's website, and log in using your DoorDash or Caviar credentials. 

2. Select the menu icon in the top left corner of the page. 

3. Select "Account." 

4. Next, select "Manage Account." Before deleting your account, here you can also download or archive your data from your DoorDash account, including your personal information and receipts. 

5. Select "Delete Account." 

6. Enter the verification code sent to your device or email. Then select "Verify." 

7. Select "Continue." 

8. Select "Delete Account." You will then be logged out of DoorDash and your account will be deleted.
