Marvel's Spider-Man follows the story of Peter Parker as he attempts to prevent New York City from falling into chaos. Martin Li has revealed himself to be the leader of the Inner Demons, a loyal group of men and women who all share Martin's villainous ideals. Show Martin adopts the name "Mister Negative" and uses his newfound followers to begin his takeover of the city, but Peter refuses to let them achieve their goals. They have set up bases all across New York, so it is up to Spider-Man to infiltrate these hideouts and eradicate the devastating new powers that plague Marvel's Spider-Man. Collecting Base TokensThe Inner Demons have amassed a multitude of secure hideouts during their time in New York, but these elusive foes aren't the only obstacles in Spider-Man's way. Though Wilson Fisk has been incarcerated, his goons still roam the city and occupy several hidden facilities scattered throughout the map. Infiltrating both Fisk's and Negative's bases will reward the player with Base Tokens, but completing bonus challenges while inside their lairs will increase the reward. Unlocking Enemy Bases
The further Peter progresses into the story, the more he will begin to encounter his enemy's lackeys. Many of these villains will be seen causing havoc throughout the city, so Peter takes it upon himself to locate and infiltrate their base of operations to snuff his enemies out at their source. Fisk Hideouts are unlocked after finishing the game's prologue. Though they can be challenging to complete, they are much less arduous than the Demon Warehouses unlocked later on. The second half of the game will see two new forms of Enemy Bases implemented into the story. Escaped convicts will be found in Prisoner Camps, while members of Sable will be seen occupying Sable Outposts. Infiltrating one of Fisk's warehouses is by far the easiest way to obtain Base Tokens due to the weak enemies housed within, but obtaining all the Base Tokens in the game will require the player to complete every Enemy Base available. Infiltrating Enemy Bases
The first available Enemy Base Peter finds will be Fisk's Hideout. It acts as a tutorial and thus poses very little threat, but not all bases are as straightforward. Upon entering one of the many bases spread throughout the city, Peter will be given two options. He can approach the upcoming battle with stealth and vanquish his enemies more subtly, or he can make himself known and partake in an all-out brawl. A stealthy approach is recommended during the first phase of the battle, but acquiring all the Base Tokens a base has to offer will require a physical confrontation. That said, some bases require a certain amount of stealth takedowns to receive an extra Base Token. It is vital to approach these Enemy Bases stealthily, as obtaining the full reward will be impossible if detected. Incapacitating every foe in a base will reward the player with a Base Token, but three can be obtained if certain objectives are met. Bonus Objectives
Completing an Enemy Base can be swiftly accomplished when approached correctly, but reaping all of its rewards requires some extra effort. During the player's time inside a base, they will be made aware of the necessary feats needed to be performed. Some will require multiple stealth takedowns, while others will task the player to defeat enemies using a particular gadget or move. Though Enemy Bases can be beaten with relative ease, the bonus objectives can render the process a much more taxing one, especially if they were not completed during the first visit. Successfully clearing all of these optional tasks, however, will reward the player with three Base Tokens per base, making the process of collecting them less laborious. What Base Tokens Are Used ForBase Tokens can be used for a variety of different purposes in Marvel's Spider-Man. Peter will unlock an array of new spider suits while progressing through the story and completing side activities, but some require the player to spend their Base Tokens to obtain them. There are 15 suits that can only be unlocked using Base Tokens. Spider Suits

Gadgets
Only two gadgets require Base Tokens to be unlocked, but it is recommended they are both obtained as soon as possible due to their effectiveness in combat. The Spider-Drone requires Peter to have reached level 8 but only costs 1 Base Token to be purchased. When deployed, it will hover up to Peter's targets and stun them for a brief period. The Suspension Matrix requires 2 Base Tokens but is worth so much more. When used, it will suspend Peter's enemies in midair, leaving them vulnerable to his incoming attacks. It is an effective means of crowd control, making it one of the most beneficial gadgets in the game. Marvel’s Spider-Man is available on PS4 and PS5, with a PC version releasing on August 12.
