Bob Evans Oven Bake Macaroni & Cheese Keto?

Bob Evans Oven Bake Macaroni & Cheese is not keto-friendly because it is a high-carb processed food that contains unhealthy ingredients like margarine, modified starch, and soybean oil.

Too Much Carbs!

Bob Evans Oven Bake Macaroni & Cheese should be avoided on keto because it is very high in net carbs (16.82g of net carbs per 100g serving).

It is important to limit your net carb consumption to 20g - 30g per day to stay in ketosis. You can calculate your ideal daily net carb allowance by using this keto macros calculator.

As an alternative, you may look for other frozen meals that are low in net carbs.

Contains Highly Refined Oils

Bob Evans Oven Bake Macaroni & Cheese contains highly refined margarine, soybean oil, and cottonseed oil. These refined oils are prone to oxidation and may cause inflammation in the body.

Highly refined oils are usually extracted using high heat and chemicals. This process strips out the nutrients from the oil and replaces them with harmful chemicals.

It is important to get your fats from healthy sources so your body can burn clean fuel while on ketosis. You may check out our list of best and worst oils for keto here.

Contains Modified Starch

Modified Starch is a controversial additive that is included in our list of food additives to avoid for keto.

Food additives are potentially harmful to health and should be avoided as much as possible.

Most of your diet should come from minimally processed foods to achieve a healthy weight loss on keto.

No, you don't cover it with foil as it will steam the insides instead of giving it a baked texture. What toppings can you put on baked mac and cheese? We love a good buttered panko or buttered ritz topping. Melt the butter in your skillet then toast the panko/ritz crackers in the melted butter until slightly toasted.

When you're ready to eat it, it can go straight from the freezer into in a 400°F oven. Cook for 1 hour, covered with foil, the take the foil off and bake for another 15-20 minutes to brown the top.
