Make sure the box is solid and not torn. If any holes or tears are visible, double-tape them on both sides with heavy packing tape.
Can you ship USPS with any box?Step 1: Pick Your Box
Remember, size and weight determine price: Packages must not weigh more than 70 lbs. In most cases, packages may not be more than 108 inches in total length and girth (130 inches for USPS Retail Ground®).
What boxes are okay to ship?Corrugated cardboard makes the best material for shipping boxes. Boxes made of corrugated cardboard are sturdy enough to ensure the safe packaging and shipping of fragile items.
Can you bring your own box to ship?You may use your own packaging if boxes are sturdy and undamaged with all flaps intact. Chipboard boxes, such as gift or shoe boxes, must be packed into a corrugated outer box. Use double-wall boxes for heavier items.
