Better than RuPaul's drag race in my opinion but then again I do like the darker elements of the show

Verified purchase

I am so excited that "The Boulet brothers' Dracula" is available to buy. This is a phenomenal show it is like the dark, demented version of RuPaul's drag race combined with Elvira's type of humor. The same type of set up but obviously different darker themed elements. Ter said up. With the task usually immortalizing something from pop culture, whether it's a celebrity or a scene from a movie etc. And they have to go through at the task they fail the task, well, there's a punishment in hand at the end of the show, usually it's 2 to 3 people that are put up or instead of eviction. Its extermination. I really love this show, I watched it when it was on the queen TV, and I'm so glad to see that it will be televised on television instead of just the web this time. I have jumped on this. The first moment I saw it was available. FYI, also uncensored. So you get to hear these caddys MFs trash each other backstage, all unbelief, which is just as entertaining, if not better, uncensored. And I don't care if I'm brining this for anybody, but I'm so glad van der van add on the show. Because he deserved it. He was like the nice, beefy O'Hara from RuPaul's drag race. Keyword nice. Definitely worth the watch, if you have prime, if not its only 5 dollars in HD and you get an episode so buy it.

This is the show this mom watches to relax. It is everything everyone says it is and so much more. If you're a fan of drag or Halloween or both, you need to see this. My only issue with it is the reveal at the end of who won is so beautifully subtle and masterfully filmed... and then they put a plain text explanation of who wona across the screen in a boring font, in case we missed it. It kinda dulled the sparkle of that moment, in my opinion. But stay to the end of the credits, to see the absolute best part.

Boulet Boo!

Verified purchase

What is not to love with a perfectly timed RESURRECTION of some of the DRAGULA contestants we didn't see enough of the first time around? This is so well filmed and edited, and I think they have pulled off something special in this weird age of COVID that only this crew could. The competition requires 3 Halloween-themed looks, but more revealing are the confessionals done in the contestant's own homes. We see more of them than ever before, and surprisingly not much of the Boulet Brothers themselves... although they certainly inject their own looks before each floorshow. It is emotionally satisfying to hear these ghouls talk about what makes them tick. Definitely worth the watch! And proof that DRAGULA just gets better and better.

A Halloween Miracle!

Verified purchase

Everything I needed, most of what I wanted. Inspiring to say the least. Makes me want to go create something amazing. Love all the competitors, except Loris. She works all my nerves. Saint is so sweet and so inspiring. I think Priscilla looks amazing, so glad she can be her authentic self, we need more women like her. Southern, trashy, spooky, funny. Victoria was a showstopper, no surprise there, her work is always on point. Frankie is my Dawn Davenport fantasy. So happy!

Loved it! Definitely worth watching

I thought Resurrection was great. We got more insight into the personal lives of each contestant as well as how they've changed and grown as artists since their appearance on their respective seasons of Dragula. I was surprised that the Boulets sent out VHS tapes to each of the contestants to notify them who won. Didn't think anyone still had VHS players... and where would you even be able to get one today?

hearing the creative process..

Firstly, great lineup of queens. Surprisingly effective seeing that they were all filmed separately,i would not have expected that to be executed on different locations. The looks were lit, and it was a perfect blend of personal backstories and looks. I loved how they took time with each queen for them to explain the process and the inspo for their art. Hope s4 is able to film during this pandemic .,><

A great showcase of Dragula artists

Verified purchase

While this is competitive, this special isn't a traditional competition, but more like a showcase of some very talented Dragula performers. We see more from those we saw a lot of but can never get enough of (Victoria, Priscilla, etc), and those we didn't see enough of the first time (Dahli, Saint, etc.). A really great showcase of these performers' talents as well as their personal stories, with some glorious floorshows.

The Monsters We Needed!

Verified purchase

The Boulet Brothers have brought back some of the best artists to have perished in their drag competitions, and those artists will bring to life some fantastic monsters that are must-sees in their own right! The story and pacing are great, all building to a preview of who we'll see in the next season of Dragula. And it will leave you wanting more!
