Chess set from lucky number slevin

Designed by Eva Starková, the Refraction Crystal Chess Set is a limited edition (10 in number) chess set that adds extra credence to the royal game. As depicted by its name, the luxury chess set is handcrafted in crystal glass where each piece, hand-carved by master cutter Jirí Neu il, features diverse cuts to differ from the other. Instead of the classical white and black, the quadratic pieces are either matte or manually polished, so the players could classify their army from rival soldiers while moving on the black glass board. The $6,200 Refraction chess was featured in the classic chess scene of “Lucky Number Slevin,” starring Josh Hartnett, Lucy Liu, Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis and Sir Ben Kingsley, which makes the chess set even more appealing to be possessed.

Modern Royal Dux chess set

This set was designed in the 1960's in the Royal Dux Porcelain Manufacture but was not produced for very long. We are proud to exclusivelly reintroduce this set to chess collectors world wide as we believe this beuatiful set should not be missing in any collection. The set has fairly simple but harmonius design and uses only white, matt black and matt gold finishes.

The king stands 10,5cm (4.1") tall, the pawn is 5cm (2"). The bases are approximatelly 4cm(1.6") in diameter.
