Candice Orejel, M.A., BCBA is a Clinical Supervisor at Creative Solutions for Hope. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Social Behavior in 2008. In 2013 she earned her Master of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University. Candice finished her BCBA coursework at the Florida Institute of Technology in March 2017, and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in June 2017. For seven years, Candice provided ABA services as a case manager and a clinical supervisor in school settings, for children who met eligibility for autism, emotional disturbance, learning disability, and intellectual delay. She is experienced at developing and implementing behavior intervention programs, writing reports, supervising and supporting staff, and conducting staff training for new and veteran therapists. Candice began working in the home setting in September 2016, and has gained valuable experience working in a new setting. [/su_expand]

Randi Ann Ethridge, M.S., BCBA Graduated from CSULB with a major in Child Development and later went on to complete a dual teaching program, credentialed to teach both general education and special education. She is a certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a master’s degree in special education and has been working in this particular field for over 16 years. Randi Ann has also had the opportunity to work in the OceanView school district with a preschool SDC classroom. The passion for working with families continued to pull her back to a more clinical setting. Randi Ann worked at an early global development center and learned beside SLP’s,OT’s, PT’s and fellow behavior therapists under one roof, learning various foundational knowledge in each discipline, only enhancing her overall behavioral approach. For 15 years Randi Ann’s focus was in the area of pediatrics and behavioral treatment. As a parent educator she has been able to bring necessary skills and useful strategies to aide families in connecting and communicating with their young children. Randi Ann is trained in Pivitol Response Training (PRT) and Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Verbal Behavior (VB) and Functional Communication Training (FCT). Randi Ann’s most recent role as a mother of beautiful little girl has brought much more depth and understanding to her teaching approach with parents. “It is one of the best jobs to be a mother and yet one of the most challenging, but worth every second”. Sarah Wheeler-Torres, M.A., BCBA

Sarah is a Regional Director at Creative Solutions for Hope. She has been working for CSH for over eight years providing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services for children and families diagnosed with Autism and other related disorders. She graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2008. Sarah earned her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in March of 2016 and earned her BCBA credentialing in September of 2016.

Sarah has experience in developing and implementing behavioral intervention programs, one-to-one therapy, educating parents through parent training and consultation within the home and community settings, report writing, supporting staff, and developing and conducting company-wide staff trainings. Sarah has had comprehensive training in the principles of behavior analysis and various methodologies, such as: Verbal Behavior, Discrete Trial Training, Functional Communication Training, and various technologies of ABA, such as: prompting, fading, task analysis, chaining, shaping, and generalization.

Sheila Mojtabai, M.S., LMFT

Sheila earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2006 from California State University, Northridge. Sheila was introduced to ABA in 2007 as she began working as a Behavioral Therapist in the school setting to assist students in overcoming social and behavioral challenges. In 2009, Sheila earned her M.S. in Counseling Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA. During her time at California Lutheran University, Sheila was able to provide individual, couples, and family counseling to local community members of all ages where she built successful rapport with her clients and their families. In 2010, Sheila began facilitating social skills groups in various school settings for children with Autism and related disorders as well as providing counseling for students struggling with behavioral and emotional difficulties. Once Sheila became Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2016, she began working in the Non-Public School setting providing counseling to students with emotional challenges and mental health diagnoses. Sheila also provided consultation, case management, and behavioral collaboration and support for students with Autism and other related disorders who struggled with co-occurring mental health diagnoses. Sheila has a combined experience of 10 years working with children and adults with special needs in school and home settings, providing ABA as well as clinical counseling in the public and non-public school setting. Her experience also includes conducting assessments, case management/collaboration, IEP’s, crisis management, parent training and counseling, and treatment planning. Sheila is now a Case Manager at Creative Solutions for Hope and is currently earning credits towards her BCBA Certification. [/su_expand]

Theresa Talbot, M.A., BCBA

Theresa is an undergraduate alumni at Chapman University in addition to a graduate school alumni at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, which she received a Master’s of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis. Her brother was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome at the age of 3 and is her inspiration and motivation to not only grow within the field, but to share his story and success along with helping and supporting other families. Her career started at a preschool working with children diagnosed with autism during her senior year of college, and then switched over to in-home ABA therapy. She has moved up the ranks and has acquired experience with goal writing, report writing, behavior training with staff and parents, Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Pivotal response Training (PRT), Verbal Behavior (VB) and different forms of Functional Communication Training (FCT) which includes Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Proloquo2go along with teaching vocal communication and sign language. She truly enjoys working in this field and loves that there is something new to learn every day. [/su_expand]

Vicki Spector, Ph.D., BCBA

Vicki is a Clinical Supervisor at Creative Solutions for Hope. She earned her doctoral degree in Developmental Psychology at Claremont Graduate University, and her bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Vicki specializes in intervention strategies to reduce stereotypy, behavioral research, incorporating significant others (e.g., parents, siblings) in the therapeutic setting, and staff training. Vicki believes that finding ways to motivate children, whether they are on the spectrum or not, is paramount to behavior change, and that play settings can be just as beneficial (if not more so) for language development as more structured settings. Her favorite quote is, “I teach children with autism, but I learn from them every day.”[/su_expand]

William Chong, M.Ed, BCBA

Case supervisor William Chong’s passion for helping children has invigorated his 12 years of practicing applied behavior analysis. His extensive training in the field, including verbal behavior and pivotal response training, enables him to provide the best possible outcome for his charges. His love of sports has led him to emphasize physical activities, such as movement and play, in his natural environment training program, giving children a fun and engaging way to work on modifying their challenging behaviors and improve their verbal skills. William has set up programs to help children and their parents both at home and in school.

William has been devoted to helping children overcome behavioral problems and physical disabilities since before 1999, when he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. Soon after graduating, he decided to focus on behavior therapy, believing that coaching can help almost any child can get along better in daily life. In 2006, William joined Cornerstone Therapies, a center that specializes in aiding children with serious developmental issues. There, he worked as a behavior therapist and physical therapist assistant, aiding children with disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. Since then, he has continued to help children of many ages and disability levels.

Now, more than 12 years after beginning his professional education, William’s desire to help disabled children reach their full potential has not waned. [/su_expand]
