Do all Samsung TVs have a power button?

Every year, Samsung releases a new TV model, and it seems like they put the power, volume, and other buttons in a new place. And these buttons are crucial, especially if you can’t find the remote. All Samsung TVs come with a TV control button that lets you do different things like switch on the TV or change the source input and volume. Most TVs also let you access the Settings, Menu, and Smart Hub.  

Different Samsung TV models have different button placements. It can either be in the middle or on the front right on the underside of the TV. On the TV’s Underside in the Middle

On the Front-Right of the TV’s Underside

This placement is a little tricky, and you might not find it on the first try. Many people agree that it’s terrible placement and very unintuitive.

So if there’s no button in the middle on the underside of the TV, feel for buttons on the front right. You should be able to find the receiver here, which is basically what the remote interacts with. Behind this receiver, you’ll find a small power button. 

It’s very easy to miss this small button, so make sure you check for it thoroughly and press around the button until the TV starts to turn off or on.

On the Right Bezel or Front Left

Many Samsung TVs have touch control buttons for power and buttons like channel control and volume up and down. You can usually find these power buttons on the TV’s front-right bezel. It’s pretty easy to miss, but you can still find it if you look very closely.

Gently tap on the TV where the power button label is present, and it should turn on. On some older Samsung TVs, the touch button is on the front-left bezel, so check that out too if it’s not on the right bezel.

Remember that you might have to wait a few seconds for the TV to respond to your touch, so give it a few seconds before pressing the button again.

At the Back of the TV, on the Right

If you didn’t find the buttons in the three places mentioned above, there’s a high chance that it’s present at the back of the TV, even though that’s a little tricky to reach. 

To check if the button is at the back, you must move the TV away from the wall and check for it on the right. You should find a small power button here. If you don’t find it, we recommend that you try finding it using a flashlight. For good measure, you should check the left side to ensure you don’t miss out on any spot.

Use the Manual

If you don’t find the buttons on your TV in the positions mentioned above, the next thing you can do is refer to your TV manual. If you no longer have the manual, you can search for it online. Just make sure you download the manual for your model number and year. If you don’t know your model number, you can find it written on the back of the TV.
