New gloves, special pan, changed tongs, pizza cutter, etc. It was refreshing to see this level of concern. His actions alone give me reason to return albeit with a careful eye. Overall RatingReviewNOT celiac safe at all. I came here based on a previous review saying they were celiac safe and prevented cross contamination but that’s not true. I was highly skeptical when I walked in and saw the operation but asked them anyway. They said of course they can use clean gloves, a pan and new toppings so I was excited but they then wiped down the dough press they had just pressed regular crusts on with a towel and pressed the gf dough on it and put the dough on a pan with holes in it on top of a wheat flour covered wooden paddle. They changed their gloves and pulled out new ingredients but I decided I couldn’t risk eating this pizza and let my friend who was splitting it with me just have the pizza and didn’t eat any. They also cut it on a shared cutting board. They tried, but it’s not good enough for celiac. If just gf allergy or preference then go for it. Overall RatingReviewAdvertises gluten free pizza, but it’s not gluten free. There is a big risk of cross contamination. I asked if they did the GF food on a different station, but I was told no, done all on the same line (and they touch the utensils on the bases). This place is not safe for coeliacs. I managed to get a salad as the lovely cashier got someone to get me a clean salad, but this place should not be advertising gluten free as it’s not (they do however have signs saying it’s not completely safe).

If you’re celiac, you’re going to want to come nowhere near here. Overall RatingReviewGreat experience at blaze! Went at 3pm on way back to hotel from a Disneyland for a mid day break. No one else in line, went to the counter and asked for 2 gluten free pizzas. Before I could tell the worker it was for celiac (allergy) he asked me and said they would all change gloves. He washed hands, put in fresh gloves, too out special mats to lay the crusts on, took the crusts from a completely separate area of the kitchen, used a separate tub of sauce (rather than the communal tub) and fresh toppings. Could not have been more careful handling the pizzas from start to finish. Do not hesitate to go here if you have celiac. Overall RatingReviewThey have several GF pizza dough options, but this is not a GF establishment. They flatten all their dough with a big machine and it’s the same machine for the wheat based dough and the GF dough and no one offered to even clean it off. There is obvious loose wheat flour in the food prep area. Staff offered to change gloves and the ladle for sauce, but I’m not sure how much that really helps if there is just flour around the general area. I risked it because I was starving and with my family and I didn’t get sick, but I’m not sure I would come back here again because it’s not safe for celiac. The GF pizzas also took about two and a half times as long to cook as the regular pizzas as well, so be prepared to wait. And mine ended up being overdone and the staff brushed that off as “just the way the GF crust cooks.” Really? The crust cooks h til it’s burnt and that’s the only way to serve it? I doubt that. Not a fan of this establishment. Probably will not return. Overall RatingReviewBE CAREFUL!! Usually I’m a Blaze lover. They have the best GF pizza I’ve ever had. After a long day my husband and I went to Blaze on Lamar for a late dinner. All but 2 workers seemed to know what was going on. While checking out the worker was very rude and didn’t say a word to me or my husband. He was the one to take my GF pizza out of the oven and when he took it out he cross contaminated it. My husband tried to bring this to his attention and asked him to remake it. The worker then took the cross contaminated pizza to the other works and they got in a group, talked and looked at us. Then a woman worker came over and very rudely asked “what’s the problem” and tried to explain that that’s how they cut the pizza. We left after she made a big deal about remaking a pizza because I couldn’t eat it. We went to a different Blaze who made my pizza perfectly. No cross contamination at all. Is Blaze Pizza cauliflower crust gluten"We're making pizza an option, even for those on a low-carb diet." That's not the only new crust on its way: Blaze Pizza also is launching a vegetable-based cauliflower crust. Both options are gluten-free and available starting Tuesday.
