Titans Season 3 Episode 11 has a lot going on throughout it. After the Titans were framed by Jonathan Crane last episode, they are split up and in hiding. Donna Troy is back in town, and now teamed up with Tim Drake in the flesh, and trying to find out where they are so she can help them. At the same time Raven and Gar are tracking down the Lazarus Pit to see just how it brought Jason Todd back to life, and Starfire is finally getting some answers via her visions.

On top of all of this Jonathan Crane, AKA Scarcrow, has completely snapped and it is safe to say he has jumped head first off the deep end. Jason Todd finally confronts Dick Grayson and well, the results might not be what fans expected. Let’s breakdown Titans Season 3 Episode 11 in all its glory.

Gar and Raven do not spend a lot of time in this episode, but when they do, it is so good to see them interacting again. Gar draws a symbol that he saw in Bruce Wayne’s journal on the all of their hideout in cheese wiz (yes, you read that correctly) and says he thinks it has to do with the Lazarus Pit. Raven uses her powers to observe it and ends up learning exactly where that pit is. This is, as fans know, the pit that brought Jason Todd back from the dead after he was killed by Joker.

Last episode Starfire lost her powers to Blackfire when she was trying to heal her. Starfire thinks her sister stole them from her but Blackfire promises that is not the case. Now powerless and forced to roam the streets in disguise, Starfire happens upon the women and baby that appeared in her vision a few episodes back. She is trying to make sense of it all when a collector who has drank the contaminated water comes to take money from the woman.

Starfire being the hero she is steps in front of them and she ends up being shot. This causes an in depth vision that reveals a deep dark secret she had no clue about. All along they thought Blackfire was the sister that was born without powers but that just isn’t true. Starfire was. When Blackfire, her little sister, was born, their parents ordered her powers of fire be transferred to Starfire, since she was the heir to the throne.

After she is shot a strange blue light comes lifts her up and heals her. It then shoots out of her body and takes down her attacker. Starfire feels that these powers were inside of her all along, laying dormant.

Meanwhile Donna has found Tim, whom she met in the after life, in the real life, and the two decide to work together to find the Titans. They head to Tim’s family restaurant where his parents are hunkered down. He shows Donna, and reveals to his family, all of his tracking equipment he has that he used to learn about the Titans. He thinks this will help Donna to find where they are. His parents are not too happy about this, and promise him the conversation is not over yet.

While Donna is still there the police show up to check on the Drake family. At least, they are pretending to check on them. What is really happening is the Gotham PD is ow under Crane’s orders and he wants nothing more than to stomp out the pockets of citizens that are hunkering down and surviving through all this madness.

The police ask weird questions like how many of them are there inside the restaurant, and what weapons if any do they have to defend themselves. Donna takes it upon herself to commit to training those in the neighborhood to fight back against the cops when the time comes.

Back at Wayne Manor Jonathan Crane is enjoying living in Bruce’s house. He gives himself a nice close shave and puts on one of the nicest suits that he can find. He then asks the computer to read him the file Bruce created about him, and that is where it all goes wrong. Bruce talks about how Crane is one of the most pitiful villains in Gotham and speculates that Scarecrow is the dominant one.

He goes so far as to say that Crane needs another personality to be the scary one, and that no one would be afraid of the scientist. Because of this he orders a pizza but knocks out the delivery guy. he ties him up in the batcave and threatens to cut his face up – hoping to bring out fear in him. However, he can’t bring himself to do it.

Crane ends up breaking his brain and going full crazy as he starts to have conversations with himself. Eventually he tells himself the time for masks is over and laughs hysterically as he slices the pizza boy to pieces — and even cuts up his own face.

But the biggest, most twisted moment in Titans Season 3 Episode 11 is the death of Nightwing. Yes, Dick Grayson is dead, or damn near close to it, as the episode comes to an end. Red Hood has told Nightwing to meet him somewhere that they can finish the job. The two have been playing with each other all season so it is time for an all out brawl.

While there is some great action and fun fight choreography at first, the best is yet to come. A crowd starts to form and as fans recall, the whole city of Gotham is against Nightwing. He eventually takes down Jason, whose helmet has come off during the fight, and points his own gun at him. When he sighs and puts it down, that is where the tide turns. A citizen shoots at Dick multiple times and one of them hits him right in the neck.

Dick goes down almost instantly and the citizens start chanting Red Hood as they swarm his body on the ground and start beating him. Jason runs away, terrified and unsure if this is what he really wanted. When he gets back to Wayne Manor he sees Crane with his cut up face who tells him that the time for masks is over.

At the same time, Raven senses something is wrong with Dick and starts screaming out in pain.

Titans Season 3 Episode 11 Review

Titans Season 3 Episode 11 is hands down one of the best of the season! There are a lot of major reveals going on in this one from the truth about Starfire’s powers to the potential death of Nightwing. So will Jason realize once and for all that he went way too far? He just might! The look of sheer terror on his face as he ran away from the crowd killing Dick was bone-chilling.

Now that Gar and Raven have found the Lazarus Pit, it can be assumed that they might be bringing Dick back from the dead now too.

Jonathan Crane has gone completely off the deep end and it will be interesting to see what he does next. As for Donna, fans know that she will be able to use her training to train the citizens of Gotham to fight back and save their city.

With just two episodes left, there is sure to be a LOT of action coming up!
