Does Sound Credit Union have mobile deposit?

  1. Properly endorse your check with “For SoundCU Mobile Deposit Only” included.
  2. Sign in to the mobile app and select “Mobile Deposit.”
  3. From the drop down menu, select the account where you want to deposit your check.
  4. In the “Amount” field, enter the amount of the check you are depositing. Be certain the entered amount matches the amount on the check.
  5. Follow the directions to take a picture of the front and back of your check. Make sure your check is placed on a well-lit, flat surface that is a different color than your check.
  6. After you have successfully taken photos of your check, you will see small thumbnail image previews on the check deposit screen.
  7. Review your entries and submit your check.
  8. If you have multiple checks, you can deposit them one at a time.

Great App; Proud Sound CU Member

Another reason I’ll gladly always have SCU accounts as long as I live in WA. Not just great customer service but also a great app that is easy to navigate and very intuitive. Can’t do everything you can do on the browser but no complaints here... not everything SHOULD be done on a mobile app.
Hopeful that the “money management” extension will be a separate app in the future that allows me to set notifications and all the stuff I use the Mint app for. The extension still works very well! I’d gladly delete the competitor and use Sounds CU’s “Money Management” if it was transformed into an app in place of just being an extension.
Very very impressed that I like my mobile app while those banking with “big bank” complain about their mobile apps. Great job guys! :D

Disappointed Beyond My Ability To Express It Here

Sound Credit Union found a way to give their users a terrifying bad transition experience from their old mobile banking system to the new one, in which poor instructions and poor communication made it completely unclear how to get back in when the system did finally come back up.

The new app is the same as the old one. They put a new UI on that simply makes it look more like an excel spreadsheet.

What’s particularly frustrating is that the beloved text banking is completely gone. I used to immediately receive an alert any time any transaction occurred in any of my accounts. I always knew my balance and when a transaction took place, so I was confident I could stop fraud right away and be aware of my financial situation. With the new mobile banking and this app, notifications are limited and delayed. There are none available at all for the credit card, which was the entire reason I switched to Sound Cu In the first place. If there was a way to roll it all back to the way it was before, I’d highly recommend it. Sound CU - Feel free to get in touch with me to discuss further.

I understand the frustration of having to adjust to a “new thing”. Yes, I had to go to the nearest branch and show my ID so I could get my membership # to be able to get this thing up and running. I had tried calling but that was a disaster. Popping into the bank literally took one minute! It was so worth it!

What I love, love, LOVE about this is the Money Management section. I was able to get the balances of my three different bank accounts and four major credit cards all in one place. So rather than logging in an out of different apps and having to do the math in my head I can log into Sound CU and see it all. It’s great!
