Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 5 audiobook free

Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 5 audiobook free

I downloaded the first audiobook in the series on the 9th of August and I've just finished audiobook 5 today. That's over 83 hours of audio in three weeks, which I think says a lot about how absorbed I've been. The story is great. The narration and production is excellent. Thank you redditors for brining this to my attention... I await audiobook 6 with bated breath.

Neeeeeeeeeeeeeeew achievement! You've just completed book 5 of Dungeon Crawler Carl! Your reward? A long wait for the next one as Matt Dinniman and Jeff Hays Complete the next book because you couldn't help but read the entire series without waiting.

level 2

100% read this in the AI voice!

level 1

I’m listening to it right now thanks to this sub also! I’m on book 3, started the series last week and had to buy some extra audible credits in order to keep going.

It’s so much fun, and something very different than what I usually choose.

level 1

In the same boat downloaded around same time, have tried some of these types of books before and hadn't got me hooked like this. It's the expeditionary force of litrpg. Only other series as good I've got hooked recently was fred the vampire accountant series, I think the production value of the 3 series I mentioned helps alot, seems like all 3 are written with audio books in mind.

level 2

I've had a few other series that I've enjoyed. I was at a loss after completing the entire Discworld set of audiobooks. Bobiverse and DCC have given me some new listens. I'll probably check out Fred on your recommendation soon!

level 1

I just finished reading book one and enjoyed it a lot. I'm thinking of switching to an audiobook for the rest. I feel like I might be missing something.

level 2

Goddamnit donut, the voice acting is half the fun.

level 1

Were you by chance the one who posted about completing the first book and thanking for the recommendation? Because thanks to that post I downloaded the first book and just finished it this weekend, I really enjoyed it too! I'm about to start the second one.

Can't get "godammit Donut" and "rewaaaaard" out of my head lol

level 1

I wasn't too much of a fan of 3 and 4, I don't think the level gimmicks and keeping track of who was doing what was explained too well but 5 was back on track with 1 and 2. Looking forward to whenever 6 is released though.

level 2

I agree. Book 3 especially had me totally confused.

level 1

What are the names of the books, or at least the first one? My search for Dungeon Crawler Carl had 0 results.

Also, from where did you find the books available? (Audible, Libby, etc.) If you don't mind my asking.

level 2

I think they might only be on Audible.

In any case, my major metropolitan library does not have them.

level 1

I really couldn't get into it. Perhaps I'm older than your average redditor. It felt like it was written for a much younger audience.

level 2

I‘m 50+ and while I’m not as enthusiastic about it as most people her I really enjoyed it. The voice acting is absolutely hilarious.

level 1

Not sure you have read them but time for Bobiverse while you wait.

level 1

What's the appropriate age for this series?

level 2

Old enough for f-bombs and innuendo. My 12 year old son would think it’s absolutely hilarious but probably wouldn’t get some of it.

level 1

If you've worked through this and the Bobiverse style books you have to try SPACE TEAM. I think Space Team is more fun than both, and there's 12 books currently

level 1

Hey dude if you are having serious withdrawals from DCC like i am, Id recommend "He Who Fights With Monsters" 6 books in the series with the 7th coming next month. Im down to a book and a half until next release and Im gonna be lost and back to square one haha. It starts a little slow but it really really scratches that same "progression" itch DCC did.

level 2

I have to 2nd this. I listen to a lot of scifi, fantasy, and litrpg. This is probably going to finish in the top 5 of all time, maybe top 3.
