We didn't dare even sit and eat our food, we got to my mom's and I decided to heat up my coffee and found a dead fly in my coffee, no wonder the drive through was so long nobody wanted to walk inside. Usually takes awhile to get food during the busy time. I generally go very early before work. When I order around then the food is fresh and tasty. During some other time frames, the service can be very slow and usually at least one item is wrong but they do make attempts to correct and get it right. I've only had one truly awful experience and that's an exception not a rule. It was late evening, around 8:30PM. They seemed to have plenty of staff but they still couldn't keep up. I was in the drive thru line nearly 20 minutes from arrival to received order. I was told to pull forward and waited more. My order finally came out and was not my order. I had it sent back and waited longer. My corrected order came out and was wrong again for the 3rd time. The poor employee finally pulled out their phone and retook my order to make sure it was right. The 3rd time it was finally correct. Again, this has been the only truly awful experience. Hats off! Food has always been hot and tasted about as good as I expected. Can't ask for more than that. Normally, I do not feel inclined to leave reviews. However, after the several bad experiences I have had at this establishment, I feel that one is needed. I have had three bad experiences here, all of which happened from 1 and a half hours to 30 minutes from closing time. In the most recent, I arrived at the drive through 30 minutes prior to closing. After driving up to order, a woman very rudely informed me that they were not taking anymore orders and already took the last order for the night. I inquired KINDLY about this, as it was a good 30 minutes before they were supposed to be closing. The woman again, with a very disrespectful and rude tone said, "No. We're not." She did not say anything else, or apologized for the inconvenience, nor did she wish me a good night. I have worked in customer service before, and I know for a fact that it can be hard at times, which is why I always make an effort to be kind and courteous to employees. This woman was very rude for no reason and her customer service was absolutely terrible. On two previous occasions, a friend and I were ordering food, only to be told by the SAME woman that it would be a VERY long wait for the chicken tenders, and seemed to be trying to convince us to order something that would take less time. I informed her that we did not mind the wait at all, and to kindly proceed with the order. After pulling up to the window, a nice young man informed me (after having just talking with the woman I believe) that it would be a VERY long wait for the chicken tenders, as they had cleaned out their frier for the night. I thought this was strange as again, it was about 40 minutes from their closing time. I told them again, that we did not mind the wait. This happened on a separate occasion, but with biscuits as the same woman stepped in on the intercom to tell me that it would be a LONG wait for those. In all of these instances, it seemed as though they were trying to convince me to order something else, because it was a hassle for them to do so. Overall, awful experiences. I don't know if my palate has changed or the quality has dropped but it just doesn't taste as good as it used to. It definitely doesn't settle in my stomach very well any more. In any case, I'll always have warm feelings for it but I just can't eat there very often anymore because my stomach will proceed to punish me for the next 2-3 days. Then they put it under nitrogen and it freezes, they stir it up and dish it into a cup for you. Fun experience and yummy ice cream. Sub Zero ice cream is okay, but a little overpriced for the actual taste. There are better tasting ice cream places in Cedar that are cheaper. It takes long to get your ice cream since they have to make it all from scratch (edit: the line went to the door when we were there and definitely took longer than a regular scoop shop). But the employees are really nice! When I went, they were out of quite a few flavorings, so that was disappointing. I am a little disappointed at the lack of knowledge of allergy safety at this location. The other locations I have been to have separate utensils to make the dairy free ice creams. And here they stated that they just rinse them really well. Which puts my son at risk for cross contamination and could potentially lead to him vomiting in the resturant. Luckily he was ok. Also they did not mix the new container of coconut milk so he got mostly just the clear liquid no cream. His ice cream was very disappointing. They took over 20 minutes to get my simple to go order of four items. When I inquired about it (in a polite tone), the employee got super irritated. They forgot the lettuce on my wife’s chicken sandwich but did get the tomato even though I asked for it. They got my order wrong thankfully because the lettuce on the chicken sandwich I did not order was wilted. I called the manager she was polite and though I had to go back to the store to get the order replaced the second order was correct, but the again the burger was cold. I recommend sticking to the fried foods here even though I can’t eat them, it seems to be all that they do correctly and safely. Don't have the pastrami burger, it's not very good. It was cold, the bun was wrong, I think someone sat on it before they put it in the box. The fries were good though and the ice cream 🍦 is always delicious. ...not the most tasty food, though their chicken tenders are better than Dairy Queens. The thing that makes this place "good" is the cheap prices and their ice cream. Make sure NOT to get an angus burger. They're gross.
