Feed my pure - 09 silver

The purest form of silver

999 is the purest form of the silver and also labeled as 999.999, it does not contain any additives. Silverbell silver covers are made of 999.999 purity silver. What is the difference between 925 and 999 purity silver? 925 silver comprised 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. However, copper is an element that oxidizes quickly and is dangerous for human health. If you want the purest form of silver, you are at the right place. 925 silver nipple shields may cause irritation, redness, and itching on sensitive skin.

Extra Softness for Your Skin

Flexibility is important for skin care, especially for the nipples, which are the most sensitive areas of the body. Even wearing a bra can cause pain, the hard nature of 925 sterling silver nipple shields can cause more pain in your sensitive nipples. On the other hand, 999 fine silver is much softer and more flexible than 925 silver. This is why 925 silver may cause more irritation on sensitive skin. For healthy nipples, use 999 purity silver nipple caps produced with the softest and purest form of silver.

Craftsmanship

999 fine silver contains more silver than 925 sterling silver and is harder to shape. So, why do other brands use 925 silver? Because 925 sterling silver is a cheaper type of silver used for industrial purposes. And it takes shape more easily. Many brands prefer 925 silver because it is cheaper and requires less craftsmanship. Thus, they get more profit. On the other hand, shaping 999 purity silver is an extremely difficult process, which makes 999 silver extremely high quality and useful. For your health, choose 999 fine silver.

This is my second time breastfeeding and all I can say is I wish I bought these for my first ! Within 24 hours my nipples felt so much better. Most of the cracks had been healed and they weren’t nearly as sore. I used to cringe at the thought of the next nursing session, and these made it bearable! I am not going to say that they fixed all the issues as I’m still working on a good latch but with it these I’d be crying still during nursing !The only con is the price but I can tell you they are worth it, don’t go for all the creams and the shells and shields, you’ll end up paying more with everything else. Save yourself pain and frustration and go with these to begin with!

As a ftm I didn’t have a good handle on breastfeedinf and my baby had a incorrect poor latch which led to blood blisters and cracked sore scabbed over nipples that would break and bleed every time they scabbed over and she had to eat again. I used everything I could think of: lanolin, nipple butter, gel pads, coconut oil etc. These were recommended by a friend and I was so desperate the price didnt even deter me. After a DAY my nipples felt so much better. Expressing breastmilk into the cups helped them from drying out and scabbing over. The only downside about them is they’re thin so sometimes the edges would pinch me but it could be helped if I bought the o-rings with them. Within less than a week I no longer needed them because my nipples were completely healed. They do still help time to time from when my nipples are a little sore from cluster feeding or pumping

I am currently breastfeeding my 4 month old son and have since he was born. Unfortunately, it hasn't gone as smoothly as it had when I breastfed my daughter who is now 2 years old.I had cracked and bleeding nipples when I first started breastfeeding with her, so this time, I thought I would have it down, and bought nipple cream to use after each feed, and knew exactly how to have him latch correctly, remembering the tips from when I worked with a lactation consultant with my daughter initially. So first off, initially he would not even wake to feed and therefore I had to pump every three hours and use a bottle to feed him almost while he was sleeping. Then he grew out of that to being awake enough to breastfeed, but had latch issues as no matter what I did to have him open his mouth wide enough and get my entire nipple in his mouth. he would always use his arm and push my breast while he was eating, which caused my nipple to constantly slide out of his mouth, so his mouth would end up around the base of my nipple. I would constantly have to re-latch and re-latch throughout his feeds. I was even working through this, but then my lanolin nipple cream caused him to breakout around his lips, so I had to stop using it. All of these factors caused me to have great pain around the base of my nipple and upon further inspection, I saw that there was a red, paper cut looking mark all around the base of both my left and right nipple. It even hurt after he was finished feeding! To make matters worse, he then got thrush, so the cuts I did have got infected and my skin started peeing off of my nipples. I ended up going back to just strictly pumping and feeding him my breast milk through the bottles. I googled different remedies and I tried everything I could to heal my nipples so I could breastfeed again. I treated them with my breastmilk, nipple cream, neosporin, peroxide diluted with water and my doctor even gave me a prescription. All these remedies worked just enough. They all healed me enough that I could finally breastfeed again, but it was always just a little sore. We were ok, for another month, then I got the same paper cut like marks around my breast and it looked like he may have developed thrush again. I treated him again and I felt like I caught it on my nipples before it got bad again, but it was still extremely painful to breastfeed and I wasnt sure what I could do. It had gotten to the point, that even when I pumped, it was painful and I had to turn the strength down which lowered my output. I wasnt too worried, because if I really had to stop, I could since I have built up a good freezer stash, but I really enjoy breastfeeding and wanted to make sure I still had those moments with my son that I had with my daughter. In fact, I breastfed her for 15 months,so I wanted the opportunity to do the same with him. I googled remedies again and this time, I stumbled upon an old blog post about silverette cups, which I had never heard of. I looked them up and started reading the reviews and felt like they were kind of pricey, but if they did what people said they did, they would be well worth the money and heartache; so I purchased them and put them on the same day they arrived. I almost just stuck them on, but it says to put some of my breast milk on the cracked areas, then cover with the cups and do this after every feeding. I was kind of skeptical, because typically things that work for everyone else never work for me. But I have to say, that by the time I got up the next morning, I could definitely feel and see a huge difference when I went to nurse my baby again. I braced myself for pain, but there was none and after he was done, I looked and saw that while it was still pink, the cracked base was healed. The same for my other nipple. If you have ever had a cracked nipple at any time, I am sure you understand that when relief comes, it is such a huge weigh off your shoulders! I honestly couldnt believe the difference one day made. I am not sure if it worked because of the location of the cracks on my nipples, and maybe the reasons it didnt work for others is that their cracks are actually on their nipples or what. I just wanted people to know that this really does work. It may not be completely healed in 24-48 hours, but you will get some type of relief in a day, which is really what you need when you are constantly breastfeeding or pumping. The only downside is that if you have a tight shirt on, you can see the little cups. I never write reviews unless something is really exceptional and this product was for me.

These work, plain and simple. Where towels or clothing cloth catches and may exacerbate soreness, the cooling effect of the silver caps protects you, literally, between feedings. I also found they work well when you couple with ice packs (have at least your nursing bra and a thin shirt between you and the ice!) for even more relief between feeding cycles.

Worth noting: every lactation specialist I encountered — from an online breastfeeding class host to the on-site hospital staff members — agreed that these are worth the expense to get the cooling effect + anti-microbial benefits.

Two tips, in case they help: measure your nipple diameter 2-3 weeks out from your due date so you have an accurate size; nursing pads (disposable or reusable) are still helpful to layer into your bra for leak protection.

I absolutely love this product! I’m a first time mom and exclusively breastfeeding. By day 3 my nipples were so sore and cracked. I ordered these with the advice from someone else and within 2 hours of wearing them my nipples were no longer cracked at all. These silverettes are magic!

I really thought these were going to be so gimmicky, but I tried them anyway and I swear they changed my life! I’m exclusively pumping for twins, and even though I was sized correctly I was still having pain pumping because of a cracked nipple and I had tried everything. These little cups healed my nipple after wearing them just overnight! They worked so quickly and so well. Would definitely recommend the o feel if you’re bigger chested the cups on their own were pinchy sometimes I ended up getting the o feel rings after the fact.

I just had my first baby. I brought these to the hospital with me and I’m so glad I did. I was really worried about breast-feeding, but having these was so helpful. I don’t know about the healing properties of silver, but they are a wonderful barrier between the nipple and the bra to prevent chafing.

I’m so glad I got these before I had my baby. I’ve worn them since being in the hospital and have worn them everyday since. I can’t imagine not having these and my sore nips rubbing in a scratchy nursing pad. These are amazing. Wish they came in a larger size though.

I purchased these a week after having baby number two and I wish I had these with my first baby. I saw a lactation consultant I follow on instagram post about these and I purchased them immediately. I was experiencing a ton of pain feeding after a day of cluster feeding, sore/cracked nipples, and a few bad latches (which was fixed too). I got these in the mail next day, and felt immediately relief. By the next day I could see major improvement in my healing and by day 3 they were completely healed! Definitely recommend these for anyone planning on breastfeeding. Whether it’s your first (especially the first) or 4th, each baby and experience with re-learning about breastfeeding is different and these will be life altering.

5.0 out of 5 stars Breastfeeding essential!

I never write reviews, but I felt I had to for this product!
The cups are a breastfeeding lifesaver. I had real issues feeding at the start, with damaged nipples and due to this, incredible pain. I was anxious before each feed and even during it, as didn’t want to do further damage. I found the creams did not help the healing, as I would have to peal the pads off each time, which would open the sores again.
Within 3 days of using the cups my nipples completely healed. I am now 6 weeks on and am still breastfeeding due to the cups. I do not use any creams either, so is very easy.
If you aren’t a natural breastfeeder or have had issues, these are for you! Highly recommend!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Protects sore nipples

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 1, 2021

After using these for a few days, I can’t say that they’ve been the miracle cure that some people have, but they do offer a barrier between sore nipples and anything else. To me, that makes them worth a try. A word of caution though - your let down can/may get round the cup, so definitely ensure that you don’t go without your breast pads to minimise leaks! Also, be aware that part of the protective shape of the design leads to a pointy look even under clothing. And you may end up with a little red ring shape outlining the cup if your maternity bra wasn’t bought with wearing them underneath in mind /your breast size fluctuates throughout the day, but personally this wasn’t uncomfortable just visible on removal.

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't believe how much these helped.

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 5, 2019

I was dubious when buying these at first, but was desperate in the early days of breastfeeding so I bought them to try. I couldn't believe how quickly the silver healed me up within the first 24 hours and continued to do so during the first few weeks when I experienced any other issues. Would recommend to anyone experiencing issues just remember to clean and sterilise them regularly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have for new mums

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 19, 2020

I am still breastfeeding at 5 months because of these. Baby was feeding constantly for first few weeks and my nipples were covered in blood blisters and scabs, it was excruciating. I couldn’t wear any clothes against my breasts as it was so sore. Tried these as a last resort and within 48 hours the scabs were peeling off leaving healthy tissue beneath. They are also great to wear all day as they protect nipples from friction against clothes. I wore these pretty much constantly for 4 months as having breastmilk against the nipples soothes them and protects from further damage (esp when cluster feeding). These are my number one product for any new mums. Next time I will wear these from day 1. Comfortable and easy to clean with a bit of bicarbonate of soda.

5.0 out of 5 stars My nipples are SO grateful!!!

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 27, 2022

With my first child, I stopped breastfeeding at 12 weeks because the little monster absolutely shredded my poor nipples. No amount of lanolin worked! Once they were cracked and bleeding, there was no saving them or my breastfeeding journey.
This time around, I was determined to try breastfeeding again. I re-read all of the information and stocked up on more lanolin...only to start experiencing the worst pain just 2 weeks in.
It only took a quick Google search to find these little beauties...but I was sceptical!
I asked my midwife if she knew of anything that could relieve the pain and she warily, but excitedly, told me about these silver cups. Excited because studies it had been proven that they work. Wary because they cannot recommend them to parents as the cost is not achievable for everyone.
Damn! The cost wasn't achievable for me!! But I thought I'd treat myself and my boobs and boy, are we so happy we did!
I ordered these in the morning and received them the same day in the evening. Whacked them into my bra straight away and no word of a lie, by the time my little milkaholic was ready for her feed the next morning - the pain was gone! No tenderness, stinging, sharp pains. Nothing!

If you are having any kind of discomfort or pain whilst breastfeeding, even though you have tried every method possible, I seriously recommend investing in this product!
I have no idea what the science is behind it but it really does work. I cannot praise it enough!
