Fireworks and Family Fun for the 4th of July

Here’s your guide to make it the best 4th of July to celebrate Independence Day.

We’ve found events that will keep you busy with parades, performances and so much more.

Independence Day Fireworks on July 1

Independence Day Celebration (Farmers’ Branch)

When: Friday, July 1, 6.30 pm – 10 pm

Where: Farmers’ Branch Historical Park, 2540 Farmers’ Branch Lane, Farmers’ Branch

Cost: Free for residents, $5 for non-residents

The celebration will feature the area’s best low-level fireworks show as well as lots of free activities for the kiddos including airbrush tattoos, balloon artists, strolling patriotic characters and the Ballistic Swing amusement ride.  

As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve got the high-energy, party band Limelight to get you up and dancing!

Prosper’s Pride in the Sky

When: Saturday, July 2, 4 pm – 10 pm

Where: Frontier Park, Prosper, 1551 W Frontier Pkwy, Prosper

Cost: Free

It is a wonderful evening of celebration complete with Live Music, Kid Zones, Food, the Posting of the Flags, Games, and Fireworks set to music! 

There will also be HUGE Kid Zones with inflatables, rides, and games throughout the park.

There will also be live music on the Main Stage. 

Celebrate Coppell – Party in the Park

When: July 2, 6 pm – 10 pm

Where: Andrew Brown Park East, 260 Parkway Blvd, Coppell

Cost: FREE

Enjoy live music by Emerald City Band and Prophets and Outlaws, lawn games, and delicious food truck fare.

The July 4th fireworks spectacular, choreographed to patriotic music, begins at 9:45 p.m.

Food trucks will be on-site for you to purchase meals, snacks, and beverages! 

Independence Day Celebration – Forney

When: July 2, 6 pm – 10 pm

Where: Forney Community Park, 241 South FM 548, Forney

Cost: FREE

Come enjoy an evening full of food, fun, and fireworks! They will have several local food vendors offering a variety of cuisines.

Plus, there will be bounce houses.

Cap off the night with a remarkable firework show!


Fireworks on July 3

Addison Kaboom Town

When: Sunday, July 3, 5 pm – 11 pm

Where: Addison Circle Park, 4970 Addison Circle Dr, Addison

Cost: Free, tickets required

The celebration is citywide, with watch parties at many of Addison’s 200+ restaurants (the Town has more restaurants per capita than any other city in the U.S.!), 22 hotels, and at a fantastic, limited-capacity party in the 12-acre Addison Circle Park.

The fireworks and the incredible Addison Airport Airshow can be seen from anywhere in town.

New at Addison Circle Park this year: the Caliber Auto Care Splash Zone.

Cool off with a variety of inflatable waterslides, as well as an obstacle course and a giant zip line.

Purchase an unlimited-ride wristband onsite for $15 (card payment only) to splash around from 5 to 9 p.m.

The Addison Kaboom Town! ® 25-minute-long fireworks show is among the best in the nation, and is radio simulcast on Star 102.1 FM.

Before the fireworks, there’ll be high-energy music at Addison Circle Park from the Razzmajazz Dixieland Jazz Band, the Walton Stout Band, and the Jordan Kahn Orchestra, who will also perform after the fireworks.

Tickets will be available on June 22.

Our Tips for Kaboom Town

  • Fireworks will be launched at 9.30 pm from the south end of the Addison Airport runway, you’ll be able to see them from anywhere in Addison
  • The flyover will be from 7.30 pm – 8.30 pm and the best spots for viewing are along Belt Line Road and Dallas North Tollway
  • There will be road closures so plan accordingly
  • A lot of Addison’s restaurants and hotels will be hosting watch parties or you can host your own
  • If you go to Addison Circle Park you can bring strollers, food and non-alcoholic drinks, all bags will be checked
  • There will be food & beverage vendors at Addison Circle Park, they will accept cash, cards etc
  • This is a family-friendly event and there is an infant care lounge for changing and feeding
  • Guests are encouraged to leave coolers and bags at home to expedite entry into the park.  Those choosing to bring coolers must limit the size to small, personal coolers.
  • Absolutely no alcohol can be brought into or out of Addison Circle Park.  Beer and wine will be available for sale within the park.

Sachse Red White & Blue Blast

When: July 3, 6 pm – 10 pm

Where: Heritage Park, 4408 Hudson Dr, Sachse

Cost: FREE

There will be live entertainment by the Party Machine band, food trucks, yard games, and of course, fireworks.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and bug spray! and join in for an evening of good, old-fashioned family fun.


Fireworks on Independence Day – July 4

Plano’s All American 4th

Fourth of July events near me

When: July 4, 6 pm – 10 pm

Where: North side of the Collin College parking lot, 2800 E Spring Creek Parkway

Cost: Free

The festival begins at 6 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. Parking will be available at Collin College, 2800 E Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75074.

This is a FREE event. Feel free to bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers.

City of Plano Parades

When: July 4, 6 pm – 10 pm

Where: 2800 E Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75074

Cost: Free

The Rotary Parades of Plano is bringing parades back to the City of Plano – this time it will be a static Parade alongside the All American 4th Fireworks, hosted by the City of Plano.

The very first event will be parked floats & booths in conjunction with the City of Plano’s All American 4th of July Festival and Fireworks. 

Come early for the parade and stay for the fireworks (which start at 9.30 pm)

Red, White and Boom! (McKinney)

When: July 4

Where: Downtown McKinney

Cost: FREE

The City of McKinney celebrates the Fourth of July at Red, White and BOOM! with free family activities, live entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks show.

Red, White, and BOOM! kicks off Independence Day with downtown events: a hometown parade and a classic car, truck, and cycle show.

Evening festivities resume at the McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch with music, food, kids’ activities, a concert, and a fireworks display. 


Frisco Freedom Fest

When: July 4, 4 pm – 10 pm

Where: Frisco, Fireworks at Toyota Stadium

Cost: FREE

Fun starts with the Party in the Plaza at 4 p.m. and runs through the fireworks hosted by the City of Frisco, FC Dallas, and CoServ. Foodies will enjoy the Taste of Frisco.

The skies will light the night with a 20-minute show after the FC Dallas game at approx. 10 p.m.

July Jubilee (Little Elm)

Where: Little Elm Park, 701 W Eldorado Pkwy, Little Elm

When: July 4

Cost: FREE

July Jubilee is back! The City of Little Elm is hosting their annual Fourth of July event once again, complete with TWO simultaneous fireworks shows on Monday, July 4.

One show will be at Little Elm Beach, and the other will be at Little Elm High School.

Little Elm Park will be open all day with vendors, live music, and so much more! Fireworks at 9.30 pm.

Family 4th Celebration-Richardson

When: July 4, 6 pm – 10 pm

Where: Breckinridge Park, Richardson

Cost: Free

This traditional, patriotic salute is free and open to the entire community.

Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets, and/or lawn chairs and enjoy the evening under the stars! 

Independence Day Pool Party

When: July 4, 12 pm – 6 pm

Where: The Texas Pool, Plano

Cost: Admission is $10 per person. Veterans and active-duty military get in FREE with an ID. Texas Pool members get in FREE with no wait.

Celebrate America’s birthday with a party at the Texas Pool. Enjoy food, traditional pool games, and legendary fun in the sun!

The Shops at Legacy North Inaugural ‘Red, White and Brews’ Fourth of July

The free outdoor festival will feature live music, beer specials, face painting, balloon art, pop-up shops, patriotic entertainment, $100 gift card giveaways, and more

This is like a pre-party before the Fireworks start, as it ends at 9pm!

When: Monday, July 6th from 6pm – 9pm

Where: 7300 Lone Star Drive, Plano, TX 75024

Cost: Free to attend.

Independence Day Parade & Fireworks Celebration – Rockwall

When: July 4th, parade starts at 11 am, live music 7 pm – 9 pm, fireworks at dusk

Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza – Grapevine

When: July 4, 9.30 pm

Where: Various viewing locations in Grapevine (suggested viewing areas – Oak Grove Park, Rockledge Park, Scott’s Landing Marina, Silver Lake Park by Silver Lake Marina)

Celebrate America’s birthday at the 40th Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza complete with spectacular fireworks set to patriotic music.
