House of Blues Boston GA floor

Hey all!

So i'm going to see The Script in concert on May 26th. I have a friend on the shorter end who I don't want to get blocked from seeing anything. Basically I have 2 questions -

  1. Should we opt for GA Floor or GA Mezzanine?

  2. How early should we get to the gig to get a decent vantage point? (and along with this - can we actually get a decent view even if we're not at the front?)

Thanks guys!

The mezz is pretty awful. There is a very limited amount of good space to watch. I'd opt for the floor if it's still available.

level 2

Generally, yeah the mezz sucks. There's a couple reasonably decent spots up there. For Umphrey's Halloween this past year I was dead center on the mezz for the first few songs, and it was a great view and it sounded great from that area. Eventually I ended up off to the side, and if you're not on the rail you probably won't get much of a view. Floor is the way to go.

level 1

GA, move around til you find a good spot, be friendly with those around you, you'll be able to get a decent view

level 1

GA. Even as a short guy I can always get a good view somewhere.

level 1

GA for sure. You can get a decent view from most spots on the floor but on the mezzanine you have to fight for a glimpse of the show.

level 1

Floor. The mezzanines are only good vantage points against the rails and pretty poor to begin with. On the floor you can get close to the stage if you get there early, stand near the bars which is elevated to see the stage better, etc.

level 1

If you get there early then you could get s good mezz spot, but it gets crowded. Although if you do have mezz tixs its easy to go down to the floor later. During the opening bands make your way down and ask to go to the merch tables which are on the 1st floor. Then just stay down there.

level 2

I think they've caught on to the merch tactic. I had it work for me when the HoB first opened but I've had friends get told to wait till the show is over since then. These were sold out shows though.
