AT&T has limits for mobile data and hotspot which are different. 100gb and 40gb respectively. Would USB tethering considered hotspot and restricted as such?

Hi,

We are not sure as it will depend on AT&T's restrictions and whether the USB tether is recognized by the device as being included as a hotspot. If not, it could be a good way to get around the issue.

Sharing a connection this way is called tethering or using a hotspot. Some phones can share Wi-Fi connection by tethering. Most Android phones can share mobile data by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or USB. Important: Some mobile carriers limit or charge extra for tethering.

Go to Settings> Devices> Bluetooth and other devices. Enable this option and wait for Mobile to detect your smartphone. Once paired, on your smartphone, open Settings> Network & Internet> Hotspot & Tethering and turn on Bluetooth Tethering.
