Can you put a stove in front of a window? You cannot put a stove in front of a window. In most places, the building codes forbid you from setting a stove below a window for practical reasons. Curtains, drafts, and other issues interfere with the safe and effective operation of your stove. Moreover, the range hood is difficult to install in this location.
