How do I log into Accelerated Reader?

Student Login

Username: Same as RCSD network login username (full first name and full last name separated by a period).  In the event of a duplicate entry, a middle initial will be used to distinguish the students.

Example:  Jane Smith = jane.smith

Password: <ar1>.  This generic password that is assigned at the beginning of the school year must be changed during the first login process.

• Teachers may access the administrative side of Renaissance Place from home.
• Student quizzing is not available from home.
• The Renaissance Learning website contains a wealth of useful information, fact sheets, on-demand webinars, and much, much more.

To Access Renaissance Place

1. Locate the AR app/tile on the START screen or locate the AR icon in Desk Tools.  https://hosted18.renlearn.com/3030                                                
2. Select the appropriate login choice <Student> or <Teacher/Administrator>.
3. Enter the appropriate <Username> and <Password>.

Teacher Login

A teacher has two different logins which serve different purposes.

1.  Teacher Login (administrative rights)

Username: Same as regular RCSD network login username.  For example:  j.doe for John Doe.

Password: <ar2>. You will be prompted to change this generic password the first time you login.  You will also have to answer three security questions.

2.  Student-Teacher Login (for AR quiz taking)

Username: Add an <s> in front of your username to designate you are a teacher who is functioning as a student.  For example: <sj.doe>.

Password:  <ar1>.  You will be prompted to change this password the first time you login.
